SofaKingSickbro what?? march is one of the best ski months, prob better and more consistent than any other besides february in a lot of places! what mtn is this?
Southern Pennsylvania problems. This year has been a pretty cold year but the past few years had to scrape everything together and flatten jumps to make it into March. This was the end of February the one year, mountain looked better on closing day of that year than in the picture thanks to a few nights of snowmaking in March.

Nah fuck that I work like 35 hours a week in Jan and start of feb but I’ve been working like 60+ since mid feb, also all the rivers freeze over so much better mid winter which makes the glades better
idk bout vt but BMoM is forecast to pick up 6” next few days

yeah we have some snow forecasted too, it's just a little sketchier than it's been (mixed weather). and the rest of march looking milder. nothing catastrophic but ig ive been spoiled as of late!

Idk about you but I wait all season for these conditions. Fuck skiing when it's cold and icy, gimme t-shirt weather meltdown slush. Tourists all forget skiing exists and I can huck random shit without getting broke off. Peak skiing imo.

This season was cold and snowy. It only gets icy on rainy days like today. or if temps are in the 40's.
Peak skiing is 8 inches of pow Imo. But i hear ya i used to love slushy park days until i became a geriatric.

i saw (on linkedin lol) that jay peak was one of the snowiest resorts in the country right now with over 350” on the season. thats a fuckin monster number for a mountain in vt in february

haha if i have a pow day i pop an addy around noon with a cliff bar and it works wonders for the mid day slump. I'm not even prescribed them but i'll bum one from my neighbor if i know i'm going to be skiing through the woods all day.

partyandBSdon’t look down, keep looking around. the biggest hold up is wanting to spot the landing like a f2 so forget everything you know about a f2 lol. wouldn’t hurt to do some low fast 3s on your way to the park each run.
sadly didnt lace it other then one but its fine i still learnt a 5 on a weird side jump tho. Overall it was a good day

ngl, jay peak is overhyped. i skied there last month, and although they do have a lot of snow, it doesn't really do much. the terrain there doesn't require a lot of snow, and there wasn't a difference in quality between there and mrg (mrg is just less windblown). just using mrg as an example cus i been skiing there. if mrg gets a lot of snow though, it's very noticable as the terrain is extremely dynamic and the snow completely changes it, as well as opening up lots of lines that normally aren't there (jay has the ridge but it's not a whole lot of terrain)

JAY is definitely windy AF which sucks because the Tram is shut.
But I have to respectfully disagree that it's overhyped.

Yeah, i do love jay, but it's lame that the way to access the best terrain has to be through a tram. i think i'd like it more if there was a chair option. but i'm going through a faze right now where i lowkey detest marked glades, they just don't ski comfortable for me, i don't like all the traffic, and although jay has some unmarked, it's not enough for me, it's mostly all these really trafficked glades. although i did have the privelege of skiing everglade with fresh both times i went there this year.

I hear ya on all that. Marked glades just become moguls after a few hours. I did a 'marked glades' trail at Jay that was just like a groomed trail with trees and it was fucking awful. Decided to avoid those the rest of the time.

really warmed up in the midwest and i’m not ready for our season to wrap up. still got a bunch of spring plans, gonna go up to the UP and live in my car for a week or so towards end of april. and then big spring trip starts with jib league at copper april 11

I think all the hype about Jay is just because it consistently gets more snow than elsewhere in Vermont/NE. Terrain is average for northern Vermont (still great for NE in general) imo I like the tighter trees in bush and smuggs better though I agree. I really need to make it up to mrg
