Farmville420Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, and Maine have way more skiing above the treeline than I thought. I guess technically Loaf is the only resort that has life-serviced terrain that high up, but I did not realize how many other resorts had terrain that you can hike to that is above the treeline
Goretex_VidalIf you hike above the tree line at Saddleback, Tight Line is what the lying media wants you to believe White Heat is.

SofaKingSicki always dream of happening to be there when the above tree line part of that goes, flying down, and backying off the cat track
GrandThingsLol my friends brought me to the Saddleback summit when I was still learning how to ski. I was so mad at them haha
GayWolf420Honestly though. Jackson Hole/Targhee/Teton Valley has something in the water up there. I've never seen or met a skier from there that wasn't totally fucked on skis. You people are animals.
ReturnToMonkeyI rode with a lady today who was told when first learning 180s "spinning right is more fun" so that's why she does them that way. I have never heard a take like that before lmao. I will say I've been really enjoying pushing myself by working on right (unnat) 3s and 5s and doing unnat rail tricks.
partyandBSi feel the same about people at bridger. everyone ive ever met from there has zero prefrontal cortex and just sends absolutely ridiculous hits
kamiAnyone know how the bankruptcy of Liberated Brands will effect Quicksilver and Spyder?
BigPurpleSkiSuit2nd half of kings and queens of Corbetts looked absolutely brutal, landing was clapped and people were still hucking and getting bucked

As bad as Vail is I don't know if they've stooped this low... so glad I was born in US lol

SendyMcSendyfaceWhen I moved to Targhee it blew my mind how nuts people are lol. My first run I’d linked up with a dude from NS, he said follow me and promptly disappeared at Mach 10 into the fog. Had to get really good really fast to keep up with the homies. TBH I think it's something to do with the regular shitty vis, you get really good at knowing the mountain and skiing just by feel. We’d groom the same way we would ski, just determining our position based on how long we felt like we’d been travelling in one direction.

K-Dot.This is an interesting theory fs, I’ve spent many a day up at grand foghee surviving by going tree to tree because of zero visibility.
I think what might be what breeds some gonzo skiers is the exceptional snow paired with some truly amazing terrain. The way the cliffs set up at the ghee and j hole is just downright special, the landings are typically steep and wide open and reliably filled in. Specific to targhee too is the sac cliffs being so perfect and sessionable/lapable. They’re actually quite large too so when you get used to hitting 30-40 foot cliffs multiple times a day pretty consistently you become a pretty fearless skier. Also rock chuck is basically an inbounds bc jump, seen more than a few fucked things go off there, sage cattabriga-alosa is probably responsible for making it such a spot way back in the day. Jackson also has many good hidden jump spots too and so many good, big cliff lines in a row if you ski top to bottom.
That being said, the cottonwoods breed some crazy skiers too. Like the Tetons, the snow sets up just right because it’s a dry desert but the steepness of the wasatch is just different, the cliff landings just are typically flatter which might be why the style of riding at Alta, Bird and Brighton is so playful, the park and urban scene there probably influences it as well.
GayWolf420The Ghee might be one of my most favorite places in the world to ski. Had so much fun up there when I was coaching IFSAJ. Shout out Trap Bar. (I ended up doing a puke n' rally in the bathroom)

partyandBSlol oh ive seen people get cuffed at the lift and thrown in a cop car for using someones pass on many occasions. i imagine that this guy was repeatedly caught and thats why the penalty was so severe. also, the US prison system is pretty trash with 25% of the worlds prisoners being in the land of the free while we only have like 3% of the population. vastly disproportionate. also, being for profit prisons means they’re goal is making money and not rehabilitation. so when i hear someone in the EU gets 1.5+ years for using someone else’s pass, i trust that they fucked up over and over and had their chances lol.

jimbobsPerfect North park crew does a better job with a hundred foot hill than mega ikon resorts do with their entire mountain *cough Snowshoe cough*. Absolutely blown away at how fun those builds are. Glad I finally checked it out, I'll be skiing there as much as I can now.

ReturnToMonkeyIt's because everyone has a slight hint of fetal alcohol syndrome and the public schools are next to worthless while at the same time surrounded by a sink or swim culture when it comes to skiing gnarly shit. One season of being a 19 year old at Bridger improved my skiing more than any other thing I've done and I can't claim to be nearly as good as half the 14 year olds there.
egirl.skii love posting edits to ns vs to instagram, im not worried about algorithms or appeasing sponsors or other bs, it just feels like making a video and showing it to my friends
hope u like it if u watch it
nCrowI can only wack flip anymore and I don’t know why
