SlowbroI have put off learning sw 2 forever. I can’t get my head around it but sw tails 2 looks so good that I need to try soon lol
FreakSchoolerswould u say sw2s are easier or normal 2s?
In my head I feel like sw2 should be easier cause you're facing forward the whole way but when I try it I can't really spin

ReturnToMonkeyI kinda got switch 2s my second season of skiing rails but it took another couple years to get forward 2s. I think they're way easier
SlowbroCatching tails is scarier than catching your tips
cool270outAnyone still not skied yet this year? I watch edits and stuff but I just have no desire to ski. Maybe it’s just cuz the skiing around hood is cheeks

oldmanskiI haven't been out as well. I have to drive a few hours one-way to ski a few hundred vertical feet on manmade snow. Really doesn't give me the desire to get out. Going to try and get back over to Utah, Idaho, Wyoming in February and hit the hills I grew up on.
treebeardHit me up if you get out this way, be cool to ski with another NS dad

Yung_GnarleyMy case in point: Flat icy runs that are somehow a double black diamond. Hank is dope but meadows is so boring

RparrI kinda have the opposite problem, I often 540 when I intend to 3
JmckRKnee brace recommendations guys?
GayWolf420Steamboat fucking rules
profa_212Steamboat is my favorite resort in CO honestly. Vibes are killer, less crowds, towns great, night skiing, killer tree skiing.
The cowboy downhill is one of the few absolutely ridiculous just for fun competitions left and is pretty funny to watch. Where else can you watch a Chinese downhill of rodeo boys and dudes lassoing people while skiing. Shits hilarious
oldmanskiDonJoy makes a good brace, and you can get them custom fitted.
JmckRKnee brace recommendations guys?
Dlonettidonjoy is what I have and what all my homies ive talked to have. pretty sure its what the us ski team uses as well. try and get it covered by insurance
SmokedGoudaI get it everyone hates vail as a company or think the mountain is flat, but gawdamn the bowls are incredible when the snow gets deep. Two weekends in a row been blessed by 15 inches plus of blower. Lines were gone past noon. Faceshots galore all the way till close. Skied the beav today. Kinda mid tbh. The lifts had power issues all day.
PartyBullshiitWait. Vail as the resort? I’m supposed to be headed there tomorrow for the first time

egirl.skithen i see on instagram that giray dadali did dub 10 on the jump before i got to hit it.
obviously he didn’t do anything wrong, but im bummed that i havnt gotten to hit the jump that I built yet.
I guess i’ll go back for it next storm cycle
SofaKingSickyeah vail isn't the steepest place but it's mad fun. a few fun cliffs here and there, and the back bowls are fun, especially a couple zones toward the back. def worth exploring plus it's vail, it's a cool place to check off the list and actually have skied there
jaxfulI’d argue that Vail has the most easily accessible/hittable cliffs of any of the i70 resorts. Although that’s not saying much, Colorado ski patrols (except CB) love to rope off cliffs and rocks that would be wide open in California/Utah/Wyoming/etc.
egirl.skithe storm cycle before this last one me and my friends built a really sick jump in grizzly, we got up late and built for like 4 hours only to have fog come in and have to leave.
we came back a day later and found the landing fully sidestepped. Not even like someone hit it or skied over the landing, a group of people literally side slipped/hop turned all the way down the 40’ long landing. so we said we were going to wait a for it snow again and dig it out, but when it snowed again one of the homies had to work, and the other got a cold and couldn’t get out.

egirl.skiHe’s right that the inrun was pretty boof
and I missed this window to hit it, i’ll get it next time
im just lowkey peeved that someone fucked up the landing, then i missed the next storm
