How safe is your bag at copper

Usually when I lap the park all day I just leave my bag with every one else’s bag at the top of Central Park but I’m constantly pulling stuff in and out of my bag and moving it around. I’m skiing with some buddies who don’t really ski much on Sunday so I won’t be in the park much. I’m thinking about just leaving my bag in Central Park In the morning and grabbing it at like 3 when we’re all done or is this a bad idea if it will get stolen. Also i Usually only keep a few extra layers, water, and some shoes in my bag. Is it likely to get stolen

I don't leave my bags or my skis unsecured anywhere but that's just me

Stuff like this that makes me grateful for my crummy midwest hill, I can park literally a 30 sec walk from the park lift.

people steal bags at Mt. Hood all the time for sure. it happened to me once and someone stole my approach shoes from above palmer and then later my bag was recovered with just my old bananas a couple weeks later. had to run some errands on the way home in my ski boots. OP I get the impression that Copper has way more of the same type of crooks as Hood so be careful

I have never had any issues with my bag getting stolen at copper. We always leave our stuff there. You always run the risk of something being taken though. Unlikely but it could definitely happen. My brand new Faction poles did get stolen when I left them at the top of the Eldora park though so that sucked.

Never leave anything around that you don't expect to get stolen. Anywhere. Just bring a shit bag with water and snacks and thats it imo

but I really want to know what is in this all-important bag. I'm curious why you need a bag in the resort... especially if you won't use it all day.

It is safe but be smart and don't leave anything valuable in it. Only things in my day pack are a water bottle, food, maybe some beers, an extra layer, suncreen, helmet (if I'm just cruising that day) and a goggle wipe. If you wanna take that so be it

I have seen people leave camera bags at the top of the park with tripods and go pros in it, seems stupid to do.

If you got anything valuable in your bag keep it on all day, common sense.

I've never skied at Copper, but I trust absolutely nobody at any place anymore. Think of leaving your bag out in the open like investing in Crypto - don't put anything on the line you aren't willing to lose that will throw you in to a crippling depression

As opposed to any other year where people didn't steal and stopped to help old ladies across the street.

Also OP. It's probably fine. But shot happens. I wouldn't leave anything craxy valuable in your backpack but things like extra gloves, water, beer, a jacket or hoodie, etc prolly fine.

Also sometimes people ask a friend to grab their bag. Friend grabs wrong bag and brings it down. Shit like that.

Back when I was you age I loved skiing there. Of course it wasn't called cooper yet. We'd tske the carriage up from Denver, there werent many cars back then. Denver was just a sleepy little village of a few hundred people. I would sometimes leave stuff out at the hill and i never once had a problem. One person accidentally grabbed by skis once and then brought them bavk realizing they they were 240s not 265s. We both laugjed for hours about that one.

I mean who wouod hsve thought. All the skis were wood colored it was an honest mistake.

There used to be a diner back then in denver called pams. It got torn down about 40 years ago but if you ever go there get the chicken fried steak. It's amazing. I highly recommend Linda there. She's my favorite waitress. She probably passed 20 or 30 years ago but she was always so nice.

I remember when they put in the first roads up to the mountains so clearly. Well I wasn't born yet byt my grandfather always talked about it. Times were simpler back then.

Now everyone has television sets and home telephones. Nobody even remembers how to send a telegram these days. Kids just running around with no respect, probably don't even know how to use a phonograph because now everyone has record players.

id and payment cards go in the pocket with keys. if you put your bag in an obnoxiously hard to get to spot chances are good it won't get messed with. I've done it for years and never had an issue. keep lapping and occasionally check your shit, pretend you dont give af about it when you put it down and ski away
