Stangyhank69Would marine epoxy work as a glue? Melted ptex also sucks at sticking to my core/edges… My plan was to epoxy it on, use melted ptex to fill in any cracks/gaps, and then file it flat.
does marine epoxy absorb wax? I don’t really care how it looks and they’re not racing skis, so if I can skip the ptex alltogether I’m happy to do that

nmwninjartThis is interesting!
How old are these skis you're taking apart?
skiP.E.I.Marine epoxy doesn't absorb wax, but I've filled large core shots with it anyway. Doesn't make a big difference if they're rock skis.
Stangyhank69That’s fair. But I do enjoy going fast on them so I would like the repair to be as good as possible.
How well does it hold compared to ptex? Ptex seems to last few runs at most and doesn’t adhere to my edges. Does the epoxy hold up better against rocks/abuse?
