I know theres some cut resistant baselayers for hockey but its usually only cut resistant in the parts that are exposed under hockey pads like the back of the knee and upper ankle area and wrists and stuff.

This is why a don’t ski with racers lol. Saw my buddy growing up run over a field mouse with his gs skis on accident and it was fucking grotesque. Like John wick shit, guts hanging out, three feet of bloody snow shit. That shit is ass my man I hope you heal up and can ride again this season.

I feel for you. Looks like the skin split I got in my hand from fixing my hand, affected by dupuytren's contracture.
It's healing now.
In all honesty, I would say your edges were seriously burred. Machine tunes can do that.
A well sharpened, and polished edge should not cut like that. It could break the skin with some heavy impact, but yours looks like a knife slice type of thing. It's from a serrated edge.
i cut my finger open when i was 16 skiing a summer airbag and doing grabs with brand new skis, it made me realize that sharp metal, no matter where it is, will slice flesh. Urs is way worse than mine was, thats pretty gnarly bro. Thru ski layers too! Hopefully u heal up well, jahbless

Holy shit man get better. I blind shot a side hit last Saturday and landed on the upside of a mogul and bomb stomped the landing. The force knocked me backward, unbuckled one boot and torqued my jaw. I just kind of sat there for a few min dazed and cant imagine getting sliced just trying to get your shit together.
PSA- Be very careful with other riders around. CR Johnson ended up in the hospital and had to relearn how to walk/ski because his buddy hit him in the head with a ski on a cliff.

1 time I was weed whipping a black diamond run that the mower couldn't hit. And I stuck the trimmer into this pretty thick section of grass and it just exploded with like 7-8 mice flew everywhere. It was a blood bath, 3 mice I chopped up dead on the scene. 2 were barely alive just crawling around with limbs missing and 1 I just knicked in the head and his brains were gushing out and he was convulsing. I specifically remember 1 of the injured mice struggling to walk and just squeeking and squeeking and a healthy mouse trying to help it and pull it to safety. Man I actually felt so bad after seeing that even though they were just mice.
On another note about 5 years ago I tried a safety grab 360 off this tiny little side hit and landed on my fingers. Cut pretty deep thank God they weren't race skis.
