Year 2 of volunteering to judge the X Games

What's so special about 4 1/2 rotations anyway? 4 is sick, more talented than anyone who can throw a 1080. 5 is just nuts, like you just gotta have coconut sized balls. But 4 1/2, eh. Landing switch on a big jump is easier anyways. It doesn't set you apart from those who can 1440 but it doesn't get to the level of the 1800. Let's be real, can any skier or snowboarder even actually count past 4?

asparagusI thought A Halls 21 was a 18 at first so yeah, but any other rotations aren’t a problem. You just watch if the takeoff and landings are switch or forward and then see if it looked spinny (14s and 16s) or REALLY spinny (18s and 19s). Way easier than counting the actual rotations.

Jonah_wI will sign a petition to get swaz on some quality stilts in the judges booth. X games could use some help. I know it's a pretty XL, complicated operation to put on a contest of that caliber. And I'm happy we have X games, really. But it's so important not to slip on the big things (like how the contest is judged). X games is an important event for the sport. Swaz needs to make the decisions

I'm following up on my offer from last season to judge the X-games again. I still think I'd do better.

I actually don't have that much too chirp about bc of judges this season. Matej was robbed. Moffat was robbed of the podium for knuckle huck (Quan deserved that gold no doubt, mans couldn't be touched). Watching the gold medal runs for Slopestyle the past two years has made me want to throw a tantrum. I understand why they were gold medal runs but it just hurts, ya know? You can create rules for a sport but you can't dictate the value of art huh?

Anyways, I mostly just wanted to predict the downfall of park. Its the 1620. Not 1800s, 1980s, or even the 2160. Just the 1620 in particular. It is the most regulated looking trick in all of park skiing lmao. Something about it feels like bad news to me.
