Ascendant SC with Cast Touring System?

I am looking at buying some FT Ascendant/SC and upgrading my pivots to CAST system. Does anybody know if they work well together as a boot/binding combo?

They'll work just fine. Definitely on the burlier/heavier side but if you're going with cast you already knew that. It'll ski super well.

Yep. Just make sure to get the Grip Walk AFDs from CAST and you should be a happy camper.

Yeah thats my thinking. Worth the weight uphill cuz it'll be insane going down.

i upgraded my touring setup this year in the same exact way. I put some old black and gold Pivots 18s on a pair of Whitewalkers in 192 and switched to FT Ascendant SCs. I was using Dynafit boots and Black Diamonds with Kingpins as a touring setup before which was already pretty downhill oriented. The new setup is definitely burly but also totally worth it as you can really shred and ski the way you are used to.

as mentioned above just make sure you get the AFD plates!

Love what I am hearing. I am definitely willing to go on the burly side do charge hard on the downhill. Have the AFD in m head now! Don't wanna mess that up lol
