Well a good place to start would be stating where you ski at normally. Might be some locals on here for all you know!
Another thing is definitely just going up to people while you're skiing and sparking some sort of small talk. If the small talk goes somewhat okay/you want to hang more just ask em if they wanna take a few laps.
When I moved out to Oregon I skied solo almost my entire first season at Meadows. When spring came around I just started talking to people more on the chairlift/in the park, etc. Now I have a good group of homies I feel comfortable hitting up to go ski!
Don't get me wrong, one might not always be in the mood to do this. There are definitely times when I am going out to ski because I need to try and get my mind off of something/just not think. These are times when hopefully someone approaches you!

Also the more drippy you look the higher the odds someone talks to you

Just be nice and introduce yourself to new people everyone is 95% of the time super nice and welcoming you just gotta reach out and find some new homies.
Just like ScootSkiLyfe said above, look like a respectable skiier with the drip and just start small talk with the people you’re trying to ski with. Try to get onto the lift with them and talk on the ride up. If you guys are vibing, ask which run they’re taking next and mention that you’ll take a couple laps with them. (As long as you can keep you with them / not holding them up). By the end of the night you guys will be homies.
This is how i meet the majority of the homies i ski with.
Look the part, act the part. Talk to people at the top of the park, follow groups of riders you think you'd be chill with. At the bottom of the run compliment a trick they did, a piece of their kit, whatever. Ask to ride the lift up w them. Repeat
Some people you talk to will be total dicks. That's just how it is. Don't be bothered by it, there are plenty of nice genuine people out there.
Personally met all my ski buddies through school and common interest, but I would suggest just finding people that are practicing a certain feature and hyping them up while also ripping on it as you will tend to bond over your failures and successes. Also just don't be afraid to be nice and make conversation with dudes as nobody is really that scary or mean man.
