skiwisconsinI know we're doing sarcasm, but I got a free pair of squires, and I'm a really small dude so I mounted em on an extra set of skis, as I'd figured they'd be good enough for cruising, and I'm cheap. Those son-of-a-bitches were god damn booby traps. Ripped the toe piece straight off the ski just skiing relatively mellow bumps. There's literally a piece of plastic the size of a quarter that holds the binding to the top sheet. Dumbest fucking design.
CrunnchyPissFartlol no hate but I literally watched some kid explode his squires this weekend after landing a jump switch. I did the same back in 2017 too
Jemsmarker squires + landing nose heavy switch = broken binding and/or ski
donotreplyjust went across a bunch of shops and they’re all trying to sell those im still undecided what to buy but I think this thread has set my mind with squires
SofaKingSicktyrolia attack 13s are around the same price and much better. that's my bet if you're looking for a cheap binding

Chrischi69I literaly hated mine the dins would slowly crank down as i rode
DeadBAnyone notice how colby's skis kept popping out of his shitty markers.
galardogodI will again say I am 5’6 190 and I have 0 problems on my squires
Paul.Colby was using tyrolia attacks not markers
mrk127Obviously squires don’t hold up to freestyle abuse. But are they actually a bad binding for lighter skiers? I just mounted up my mom’s new skis with squires. And they seemed pretty good. She rips hard but does jump so it should be fine

armchair_skierThe nice thing about squires is you can crank the din and forward pressure because the binding will break before your knees do

mystery3Are they this years squires that look just like the Free Tens?
mrk127Correction: Doesn't hit jumps
Nah they are the previous gen. is the new gen worse or better?
nolliebackflipBack in the the day a buddy of mine fucked up a squire heel piece on a perfectly stomped 180 and he was like 40kg (like 90 pounds for ya'll americanos)
Jems@ajbski
donotreplyYeah I got those on some other pair but every shop recommending me squires and say they’re great but all I hear around is about how they break
ajbskii know this post is supposed to be funny, but you guys are not looking at the situation logically. its like the kids at skate parks with expensive graphic decks, trucks and wheels. why are you paying extra for consumables if the performance isnt actually any better. all bindings/boots/skis will eventually wear out. lets say, hypothetically, pivots last 100 days of hard skiing; if squires last anything more than 50 they are already worth the price.
people who downvote this have more money than brains.

jompcockBoiling down the value of a product by days lasted per dollar is smooth brain behavior. Pre released to broken neck but the bindings lasted more days per dollar so still worth it (if you have free healthcare and don't mind decreased quality of life after injury)
galardogodOk I am going to pose a serious question here cause y’all are giving me some anxiety. I ski warden 11s and squires my Dins are set at 10 on both. I am 5’6 190 and I ski pretty hard all mountain. In the park not so much but decently hard . Should I get new bindings? I haven’t had a problem but is this a ticking time bomb? The last thing I want is for my ski to come off in the backcountry or on the steeps .
