Honestly I've probably spent quite a few years in this poser spot because I was too afraid to try things, but I loved to be around the energy and watch people do dope shit. Sure I had afterbangs and a beater pair full tilts in 2014 and I couldn't hit rails, but I was having fun and supporting the culture. I see this being the same as dudes getting mad at 12 year olds for getting into Arsenic or Vishnu. Are you mad Dan and Emmet are eating? Trying to keep core too core just limits expansion of culture and makes kids feel like they aren't invited to have fun.

FruitBootProOk to be completely honest I think it’s fine to wear/ride that stuff even if you’re not good, but seeing someone who’s regularly in the park never hit a feature is sus. Like, going in the park often but never trying any kind of trick, no matter how basic, no matter what you’re wearing, is wack.

Honestly it’s better if you just ski where you want instead of skiing in the park bc that’s what you’re “supposed” to do if you are wearing those clothes.

Made same mistake this year, girl kept talking big talk and I would only see her cruising the park and I did talk a little shit but when I talked to her this is the key part “talked” to her she threw down fs bs 2 ons and 2 off and I felt stupid but sometimes you just have to actually talk to people because you don’t know if they’re intimidated to try stuff in front of other people in the park and it’s not like you can see every single run they take either so generalizations don’t really work in skiing
