Replacing TREW Outerwear

I've got some TREW Outerwear that I love, but my pants are starting to show signs that this might be the last season. I was bummed to find out that bibs are all the rage now, and it was near impossible to find a straightforward, quality pant for a reasonable price. Saga is gone now, Trew makes bibs, everyone makes a $150 insulated pant or a $500 pant for your Red Bull filming. Where are all the in betweens? Anyone have a suggestion?

Heard nothing but good things about Flylow. Once my Saga is officially retired I will most likely make to move to Flylow.

Dustin.bibs are all the rage now.

They sure are, and for okish reasons. My swap from Trew pants to the flylow baker bibs wasn't terrible. They can get a little hot but venting is fantastic (inner and outer legs).

If you're set on pants the flylow tannen bibs are really just pants. If you're looking to replicate the burlyness of older Trew materials and need a pant, this is your answer.

don't get Bloom. They're less expensive than Trew and Flylow so you know they're way worse.

Bibs....am I literally the only skier on Earth who has taken a shit at the mountain? Do you all get stoked completely undressing to poop or swap a midlayer? WTF is wrong with pants? Are you all riding nipple deep pow 95% of your days and if so where should I be moving?

I can't remember doing so. Perhaps in an emergency.

I like bibs because I eat shit all the time and I don't like snow all up my back and stuff. Also in the spring you get that good air flow by not having a snug waist.

I got some quiksilver pants this season for like 200cad and they are extremely high quality. I ski in the east so we get some cold days and I never find myself cold and never really hot, the vents on the inside of the thighs are pretty big so you can freshen up fast. 10/10 would recommend

I have never felt like dropping my bibs was any more of a process than dropping pants. I like bibs for the loose feel in the torso. My Trew bibs zip down the side So if its warmer I can get plenty of ventilation.

I went to women's bibs with the full zip out drop seat and it's the friggen best. So much easier to drop trou than in pants. A lot of men's bibs also have a one zipper poop flap as well now.

And yes, I do my best to ski pow, but I appreciate bibs on dry days too, any crash that involves sliding down the hill is less cold and shitty with bibs than pants.

Had a Killer trew kit and now have a flylow setup. I don't LOVE the flylow like i did the TREW but it is good stuff too.

Good perspective dudes, I'll look at bibs that have some well thought out zippers to broaden my option pool. Gotta say this Flylow stuff looks interesting too, but I've never been sad to own this Trew kit and it's lasted for an incredible number of days.
