SchizoSkierIf any of you guys have or know anyone w raynauds how do they stay warm? Any time I ski and it gets below like 15 F I am completely miserable. I have 150g gloves and my hands are generally fine. My toes are the problem. I have full tilt descendant 4s and just some wool socks from rei that I wear and almost always I lose blood to my toes and am miserable throughout the day. Any tips?
SessionLenz heated socks. Pull out your wallet, and thank me later.
Neives_tiddiesLayer up to keep your core temp good so blood isnt further shunted from the extremities
AlexHallsEyebrowI just ski really hard then my feet get sweaty

mrk127Anyone used the hotronics heated boot system? I'm thinking about getting it for my boots after I get my frostbite healed

HypeBeastYeah I do to the point that I ended up wearing goose down mittens for a few years cuz nothing else worked. Leather gloves are the only other ones that worked.
Anyway my feet still go numb even after getting my own boots; it only got slightly better with good fitting boots. I find that ensuring your feet and boots are completely warm before putting them on helps but I still usually end up having to warm up my feet within the first hour or two of skiing. Don't crank that boot down super tight either until your feet have a chance to warm up and keep that inside warm. After the first warm up, my feet are usually good for the rest of the day-kinda weird.
Edit: definitely wear wool or synthetic socks but make sure they aren't super thick and are for skiing. Raynauds is about circulation so wearing a thicker sock might make it more constricting inside and make it worse?
