Should I buy ON3P Mango/Magnus 100s

I live on the east coast currently running vishnu wets at 183, for 75% park 25% groomers. Also got a pair on line chronics 178 for no reason at all. Decided to go to whistler recently with a heavy underfoot detune and carved alright on greens but had a very shit time on anything else and hardpack.

Realized I need fatter freestyle/park skis that will do good if not decent in moderate pow, chunk snow, slush, and hardpack. Should I go for the Mango 100's instead of the jefferys? Even if I don't use them for park much, I still want a playful ski for random freestyle and really good stability at carving and speeds (in comparison to vishnus).

Are Mango's good or will I have a bad time if I decide to use them all 75% all mountain 25% park.

Also what size should I get if i'm mounting at rec?

If you already have a dedicated park ski go for the Jeffrey. The heavy detune on the Mango/magnus isn’t the most fun outside of the park. The Jeffrey literally crushes everything. I daily the 96 and also have the 108 because I liked the 96 so much. As far as size goes how tall and how much do you weigh?

Yeah but my vishnu's are almost on their last life, what is the major differences with the jefferys and the mango/magnus, if the jefferys are stiffer id rather go with the mangos. I'm 178cm bare foot standing (5'9 or 5'10) and I weigh 160lbs, im skinny thats why I wanted a softer flex with the mangos.

I am not sure about the Mangos as they are new. I have skied the Magnus 102 but not the Mango. It sounds like the mango is pretty much the same. Jeffs are a different shape and rocker profile and a recommended mount that is a little further back than the Mango.

I concur on getting the jeff over the Magnus. You can always detune a little underfoot but you don’t want a heavy detune if you’re carving

Im currently riding a pair of Magnus 102 and they're a great ski but like everyone else has said the detune is very agressive and any ice or hardpack you'll know it's there

but since im mainly on the east coast, isn't the jeffery just not ideal for me? Also I would be detuning myself, not trying to have an aggresive detune from ON3P

I am on the east coast and daily the Jeffrey 96 and 108.

So if I just dont get the detune I should be fine, if I do it myself lightly? Also how is it in hardpack, slush, pow, etc. besides ice? And what size should I go for as 5'10 160lbs, currently on true center vishnu wet 183s?

Since you’d have to custom the mango 100’s you can always just opt to not have them detuned. They are super similar to the Magnus 102, but with more rounded tips and tails. Rec mount is -1cm from center, whereas the rec on the Jeff is -5cm. I would go with the 181, it’ll probably come out to about the same actual length as your 183 V’s.

If you intend to carve at all I would not get the Magnus. Between the park detune and all the rocker they're not exactly the best carvers. Jeffreys are supposed to be all mountain freestyle skis right? That sounds like a good plan.

I'm on the east coast. I have the Magnus, Line SFBs for trips and a pair of slalom skis for when I feel like carving.

I’m in NH and have owned both a Jeff 108 and a Magnus 102. Can confirm 100% that the Jeffrey is the better choice for all mountain (including park) usage. The Magnus is an awesome ski but their detune is cracked (it’s really well done, super smooth, no burrs at all) and on any sort of firm snow the edgehold just isn’t there (it’s a park ski, so I’m not saying it should be). Jeff is more versatile of a ski and can still handle park more than fine too

With the exception of perfect dry pow, you're looking for a stiffer ski, with sharp edges.

Jeff 102 would be perfect. Don't get the mangos, especially if you also have chronics.
