Need help BOOT pain

So last week I drove a few hour to get fitter in a new boot, my last boot were Head raptor RS 100 and I was getting crazy shin bang, he recommended some drop kick pro since the last was 99 and my raptors were 95, I also have a footbed that I bought for 50$ that I placed in the boot. Last night we went skiing, the boot fitter so nice really comfy. 5 minute passes and I started getting pain under my foot only on my left foot, il post a picture exactly were that pain is coming from. Keep in mind I did heat mold the liner with rice, the pain is so burning that I have to almost remove the boot, feels like a burning/cramp

I really hope I can get this thing figured out,
I also saw a post about not putting liner in full tilt since there so tight but Idk,

Do you wear any kind of supportive footwear day to day? It could be a cramp caused by the insole and is something that will pass with continued use. YMMV I am not a podiatrist nor a bootfitter.

Try putting the footbed in a pair of your shoes and wear them around a bit, see if it reproduces the feeling or if it gets better.

I had to drive 5h just to get to a fitting shop, I got there at 3, the shop was closing for 5, by the time I got served and the boot chosen, I just had time to try them on and leave, I know… I wish I could of done it properly!

From my experience, non-custom over the counter footbeds are just glorified versions of what already comes in the boot. Once I splurged and got ones custom to fit to my feet it changed everything

While obviously not as good as a full custom footbed the "off the shelf" "trim to fit" styles usually have options for more arch support or a deeper heel pocket etc., the stock units that came in my Hawx Ultra are just flat 3-4mm thick plush covered foam, the offer no support whatsoever.

They're not cheap but you can use them for a long time and go through a couple pairs of boots with them so if you look at dollars per use it's pretty reasonable. Getting your boots sorted out should always be number one priority with gear, its not sexy but itll increase your comfort and performance when skiing which is more than can be said about pretty much any other upgrade.

As long as you're done growing it's an extremely worthwhile investment.

For the record, the rice thing is garbage. I know it’s an official thing on the Intuition website, but it doesn’t work nearly as well as an actual oven and a qualified fitter doing it. I’d go back when you have time and get them molded properly. Pain in the ball of your foot comes from lack of metatarsal support. A footbed (especially one with a met pad) will help this, I get the same thing without footbeds in.

So the pain is not on the ball of my foot it's right under that, like I circled, anyways today I'm heading there again, going to get them heat molded properly. Il also get a custom foot bed created,

I really hope this fixes my problem,

They last for years, and the boot fitting is barely worth it if you don't start at the beginning: your insole.
