try ur local thrift stores before u go and drop $200 on something online. you can try everything on and if ur in a ski town/cold weather climate there will be decent jackets there. take it to get dry cleaned and pressed for like $20 and boom u have dope unique jacket like new
Lotta great jackets out there but most recent jacket I picked up was Burton covert jacket in black. Nabbed it for like 100€. It’s been really great. I love it. Love the insulated phone pocket with the access outside of zipper (so I don’t have to unzip). I think it’s more common now but, back in the day, Oakley was only company doing that, aside from companies like Helly Hansen doing their separate chest pockets. I’ve got Burton jacket and gloves (worked in a shop and got the gloves for cost). The gloves are gore tex. I wouldn’t say the Burton stuff is stupid good quality. It’s good quality and still hanging but I have noticed a few things. HOWEVER, still kicking 110%. Oakley makes great stuff but also noticed issues. Stuff I owned that I never noticed issues with (at least back in the day) - Quiksilver.
edit: let me mention I really put my stuff through the ringer so my experience may be unusual
