Edge causing base to “bubble”

That edge is going to come
out sooner than later. Might be best to cut the edge out fill the area with epoxy and clamp. @weastcoat is the Bob Villa of at home edge fixes and g flex epoxy. He can give you better instructions.

Yeah your right. Gonna stop being a lazy bum and fix it the right way just don’t have the time rn. For now I’m just gonna jb weld it

Cut that bitch out a quarter inch past where the bend stops on each side. Carefully remove edge, try not to damage base in process. Helps if you use vice grips or something. If you want that bubble out, take a lighter and heat up the base, use a flat object to re-shape base to make it flush. Hold it there til it holds in shape. Throw some epoxy in that gap, file down the corners of your newly cut edge, and boom you’ve just earned your PhD in skiology.

What do you recommend to use to cut the edge so that I don’t damage the base?

I’d use a little dremel or hacksaw or something. Don’t stress if you cut into the base a little, you might have to so you’re able to break the edge off.

This is what I did for mine. I work at a shop so I had access to really good epoxy and a base grinder to make it look pretty.
