Have you properly adjusted the front AFD / toe height?

The AFD needs to be adjusted with the screw in front of the toe. Heel pieces can chew new boots up sometimes. In my experience the bindings wear a spot in, and then most of the time stop wearing too much.You need the heel screw to be flush to get a proper release tho.

you need to drop the AFD WAY down to the bottom



if your haveing issues clicking in with grippy heel, then put a piece of gaffa or other slick tape under heel so it slides on the brake & helpiece

Hoji Free is UNI EN ISO 9523 certified, and then makes it fit in this binding.
Have you opened the back binding completely? So pressed the "tower" all the way down? Then the binding is completely open and it should be easy to get into the binding with these shoes.
We have seen this during assembly, that it can be difficult to get the shoe down the binding, and it has in all cases been due to the rear tower not being pushed down completely. If it is not pressed completely down, some of the rubber sole on the rando shoe will come into contact with the rear tower and create extra friction in the system, and then make the indentation heavier.
In relation to the wear and tear on the shoe, this is completely normal with Grilamid plastic, and not something you need to think about much.

Put the boot in the binding again, closed it down and did like 10 clicks to get the right tension. Boot out of binding and did a try, same bite on the heel.

Not to convinced, but i did push down the heel while i help the binding release with my hand. Smack in place, did this a few times to break it in. Then let it rip with full force down. The heel got a bit rounded off, but not by mutch. I guess this is normal as the shop says.

All is good in the Mirus Cor is ready to rip.

you should be good, we have done scarpa RS in gripwalk bindings, now thats sketchy. Will it release right? probably not, will you loose skis while skiiing? definetly not :D

For the record, if that boot is from 2021/2022 line, it’s not “certified” anymore. According to Dynafit, they didn’t actually get any of their boots certified by DIN because it costs too much money (they said millions of dollars per boot but that seems like a lot to me). So look at the bottom of the boot. If you don’t see “ISO 9523” stamped on the boot, it isn’t legally certified. All of that being said though, even though the Griffon “should accommodate,” all sole types, it’s from a legal standpoint, not necessarily a function standpoint. I’ve used a bunch of touring boots in various Alpine bindings (Marker Griffon, Tyrolia Attack) and they don’t behave quite as they should in terms of release. Even though DIN says they can operate together, they’re not the best pairing.
