I seriously wonder though, how crazy would it be if he went to a snowboard company? He does bring a lot of inspiration from snowboarders and if he signed on a snowboard company he could really combine the two sides of the industry.

If it’s candide then sure. WNDR has already faded into obscurity and I think 1000 will fall off in a couple years too. But I think Candide can whipup something really sick

I'm going to double post to call out this horrible take. Montec is an insta viral marketing brand, idk about the quality but it's just hypebeasty shit. WNDR is Matt Sterbenz who is one of the legit pioneers of freeskiing and one of the most well known ski designers around.

From the way Alex Andrew's was describing it on his Bomb Hole, it also really seems like more of a materials company that is using their tech to create snow equipment rather than a traditional ski company.

Also just saw they added Nick Russell which is so so so dope.

Lol one company is made up of respected ex-pro skiers who want to make the world a better place through eco friendly skis (and they ship with unbleached paper instead of plastic, minimal packaging, and recycle old skis for a discount on your new pair). The other company doesn't do anything eco friendly that I'm aware of and just markets average outerwear the easiest way possible to the average out-of-the-scene skier/snowboarder.

WNDR is doing better than ever from what I can tell. They're moving toward snowboarding as well, which I can support 100%. Might buy one of their splitboards someday

I didn’t know it was Sternenz’s company, that’s dope I’m into it. I just only know they exist from Instagram adds, figured I’d get the truth with the comparison haha. I’ll look into them

Travis Rice is on Lib Tech and there was some overlap when Travis and Candide were on Quiksilver at the same time. My money is on him building his own ski, but wouldn't be surprised if he joined Lib Tech bc of some previous connection like this.
