she seems to be saying that we should be grateful for all this free content and for all the work that he puts into social media. But there's a quid pro quo for Owen Leeper (or any other social media skier) because big social media presence = more exposure, clout, sponsorship opportunities etc. In this age of influencers, having a big presence on insta gives you opportunities. basically what I'm saying is that skiers with large amounts of followers already benefit from their large number of followers, so it seems a bit weird to be trying to get more money from followers. Personlly I'm not against patreon though.

Yo honestly who really cares. If anyone wants to see his content he’ll still post his coolest shit on Instagram for free. This is just for those who give a fuck about his daily life and want to support him honestly don’t see the big deal.
Honestly I'd rather see skiers make money directly from their content rather than the weird self-promotion to get sponsors to pay you money they made from your fans buying their gear stuff.
That being said using IG stories is pretty bizarre and you definitely won't see me subscribing
My content makes money on its own and a large Instagram account like his shouldbe making a lot of money on its own using normal posts. If it's not then he's doing it wrong. If my content isn't good enough to pull in the views needed to generate $ then that's my fault, not the viewer's fault. You shouldn't need "extra, special" paywalled content. Blocking the very people that got me to this position in the first place from any content would be such a scum bag move.
