Atomic 120 BC / Armada WW / Armada JJ/UL 116 / Faction Prodigy 4.0’s???

fellas I’m torn on what ski to get!!

I’m currently riding Faction Prodigy 3.0’s and want something fatter.. and maybe a little lighter.. to rip pow with

I’d be using these for open powder bowls/ tight tree (Maybe touring? That’d be for next year.)

id also say I charge super hard. I like to drop any cliff or pillow line in sight. I like to play on my skis and throw 3’s/land switch, etc u kno.

I will not be using these for any sort of park/groomer planks as I have wets/ar7’s and the 3’s on standby.

the resort I ski at (sunshine) usually has really nice snow but it is also common to have windy/cruddy snow.


Anyone own the skis mentioned above and are able to help me out?

im personally leaning towards the BC’s or JJ’s.. but the prodigy 4’s and WW’s have my attention.

met someone who skis in jj ul who snapped theirs last season but liked them so much that he bought another pair so i'd say you couldn't go wrong with those

If you "charge super hard" stay away from the JJ UL, you'll fold them.

For what it's worth regular JJ are pretty heavy, for Armada I'd say the Whitewalker is the money shot.

Right on. Yeah I’m thinking it’s between the WW and BC’s now. I wish I could get my hands on some demo pairs.

Not sure how tall/heavy you are but there is a WW 121 coming down the pipeline supposedly if you can wait a little longer?

I’ll be in sunshine next season and I’m trying to think of something to compliment my Reckoner 102s (Similar type of situation that you have) . Should I go a similar route and get something really fat or go for a 108-112 waist ski for an all mountain ski. Rn I’m looking at the devastator, Reckoner 112, Jeffery and maybe the mangos.

It depends on whether you have avy equipment or not. I like to do super laps of delirium and wild west all day so I want to get something fat. But if you’re just gonna be using it to cruise around the mountain and maybe hit back door/side door every once in awhile I’d just get a 108-112 waist ski.

if you like your current prodigys (give them to me) then I would say go for the 4.0s as they will ski very similarily

Rode jjs last year, but picked up Whitewalkers this year. The WW are the best skis i've skied on , so much fun and really chargy

I have the JJ 116s. They're definitely good for deeper snow jibbing. They're a bit on the softer side in the tips and tails. You can't go wrong with any of the skis you mentioned so really just go with what's cheapest.

I currently have a pair of BC 120s and a pair of JJ and I have to say both are amazing skis. I feel like the BC would be a better option if you plan on mounting touring bindings as the ski is lighter. I had a pair of JJ UL last year but I snapped them… they were still dope to ski but if you’re a hard charging skier I’d go with the tougher Arv JJ. I also had a pair of Prodigys 4.0 last season and they are quite similar with the JJ. Both are heavier skis but I feel like they can take beating! The JJ is a bit softer than the Prodigy which makes it easy to butter. They are all around great skis. I really like my BC tho! (Just ordered the bent 110 haha) If you have questions hit me up!

Chetler 120 is light as shit, it doesn’t charge well. Whitewalker is light but it’s also stiff and damp, I’d say that’s your best bet if you don’t want something heavier like you said. If you don’t mind more weight, the Prod 4 is a beef boy so it would charge the hardest out of the 4.

I got mine mounted at -4. If ur gonna take them thru the park aswell id go for like -2
