meth_manMy gf and I are going to travel around the west this year and do a bunch of skiing
I’m well rounded in backcountry skiing
but she is a snowboarder (advanced)
she doesn’t have a split board
do you think it would be ok for her to use shoe shoes to access the side country at snowbird, Jackson’s hole, big sky etc
ps yes I have shovels beacons probes and snow safety training
Seems like she is a novice in the BC by your description
Does your GF have snow safety training?
Would you trust her to be able to dig you out if shit hit the fan?
Do you think she has the ability to tell you (a significant other she might be trying to impress) when she is truly uncomfortable?
Do you feel your the type of rider who will respect her opinion of the conditions your riding or you gonna be macho to impress her and belittle her opinion?
These are all questions you should be asking about your riding partner in the sidecountry or backcountry.
Regardless of man or woman, or what level. And it’s fine if your skill level is different. The big point is talk about it and make plans.
The fact your on NS or TGR asking if your idea seems smart or good tells me , NO you fucking idiot.
just enroll in a snow safety trip with your GF. Maybe you find out she hates snowshoeing.
