bertBertsonOut of genuine curiosity, can you elaborate on why you don't like the term cis? It's literally just 'straight' but referring to gender instead of sexuality. Certainly nothing to be ashamed of imo, like, the vast majority of the population is cisgendered.
snomasterbecause it's a label that people are assigning to me, that I didn't ask for, and I've yet to hear it genuinely used in a positive way. But I have heard it used to talk down against. "Who brought the cis?"
fuck that.
SavageBiffIs cis short for sissy?
cause your talking like a cissy
skeirmando you care if people say tranny?
SavageBiffIn the ski park … Ok
The way Dave chapels does as a comedian…Ok
As a derogatory hate filled adjitive , people shouldn’t do that it’s not nice
BiffbarfI think not being cognisant of the context of a word and blatantly deciding to take offense even when none was intended is some weak ass shit. You can apply this logic to literally any clean word that can be used as an insult. Hell, 'slope' was even a disparaging term towards the Vietnamese for quite some time but you'd never know it. People really out here trying to save the world one bs homonym at a time.
TOAST.Fair enough. I looked into see if using it as short for transgender started before using it as short for transition, and it seems like they both probably started getting used around the same time period. If skateboarders would have started using it after hearing people refer to transgender people by it I'd say it is completely fair to ask for it to stop being used, but that may or may not be the case. Anyway I'm going to try not to use it, even tho saying tranny find sounds a lot better than transition find.

Jemsok it would probably be best if this thread was deleted
SavageBiffI can’t agree that whoever used it first is right.
can we not all agree it’s “how” it’s used? Or just use transition….I mean I’ve never once used tranny in skiing, it always felt weird, trans people been around as has the term as long as I’ve been alive.
can someone explain to me the difference between gap and transition?
skeirmanThe term's use in this context came from skateboard halfpipes and pools. It describes the area between the last point of horizontal surface to the first point of vertical - or the entire curved area. It has been used this way for 60 years. Now trans people walked in the room and want it to stop.

Christian_Baleits not a huge issue cuz I'm sure most people are just using it without even thinking of transgender people... but I wouldn't say it around a transgender person. just common decency. call me a pussy on the internet if you want, but it's good to be aware of what you're saying in general.
skeirmangod this is so retar...oh wait can't say that either. Well, thats super ga..oh shit.

Young_pattysome people feel the same about the “Mute” grab being offensive because it was invented by a pro skater named Chris Weddle who was deaf. Some people still call mute grab mute grabs but other people have started shifting away to calling them other names, just how it kinda is these days.

Which highly influential 80s pornstar is often credited with doing the first transgender scene?

AddiY’all sound like my grandparents. Tranny has been used as a slur for a long time and the idea that that slur means something else to you in no way changes what it means to people who are harassed and assaulted for being trans. If you want to be inclusive then it’s important to understand that if there are trans people around you that hear you saying tranny it’s probably associated with trauma. I get that a lot of y’all have never experienced the hate that is directed at trans people but if you are willing and knowingly going to transphobic around me I’m going to knock you the fuck out. That shit is wack.
Farmville420Let me start off by saying
BLandzWhat I don’t understand is that being offended is subjective and only less than 1% of the population is transgender so why the fuck would I cut out a word just so I can not offend someone. Im a very respectful person but I just think the right to freedom of speech is greater than potentially hurting the feeling of such a small group of ppl. I think its honestly selfish of these ppl to try and remove words. If you are offended by what I say, just tell me, and I wont say it around you. The reason why a lot of ppl act like “bigots” is because you don’t actually help people by giving them everything all the time just because you hurt their feelings. Think about if you raise a child, you can’t give it everything because it will grow up being a pussy and a burden.

Ill give you two big hints:1) it was scene shot in France with an American male talent, and 2) the pornstar has two first names and has shot over 3000 scenes
Gloves are off. You wanted this front page so this is what you going to have to answer to.

MiIfHunterThe answer is the legendary Tom Byron
ur a true SIMP OP and nothing but a coward!!!
garbagemonMany people believe it is also time to cancel another popular member of ski culture, Andrew Parry. You may know him from such series as
“Line Traveling Circus.”
For many, Parry is a long-standing and beloved member of skiing’s longest running series.
But for some, he is a sinister figure that represents the creation of vulgar and discriminatory phrases, describing violence against vulnerable and marginalized population groups.
The first example of the aforementioned phrases is the name of a so-called “wizard trick” created by Parry: the “baby crusher.” As many of us may know, babies (also known as infants) are some of the most vulnerable members of the human race. They are small, physically weak, uneducated, and equipped with a soft spot on their head that allows damage to be done with very little effort. Why do we allow such malicious phrases to be invented, portraying violence toward these undeveloped yet lovable creatures?
The second example is yet another one of Parry’s wizard tricks, the “hippy killer.”
The term “hippy” is often synonymous with dirty, stinky, unkempt, pseudo-spiritual bums with poor hygiene, who contribute very little to our civilized society. Despite these shortcomings, hippies are some of the most cherished and influential members of the ski community. Should we allow these threats of violence and death to be so prevalent against them just because of their unnatural dreads, appropriation of rasta lion imagery, and stench of ganja smoke?
I think not.
The third, final, and arguably most offensive example of Parry’s bigotry and lack of regard for persecuted peoples can once again be found in the name of a wizard trick… the “gypsy killer.”
Romani people, more commonly known as “gypsies,” are a race of nomadic people with a widespread global population, the majority of which can be found in Europe and Western Asia. For thousands of years, Romani people have been subject to slavery, exodus, and systematic extermination, among other things.
Why should the vast international population (exceeding 10 million) of Romani people be forced to live with the knowledge that privileged skiers, who consider themselves to be “wizards,” are performing tricks that wish death upon them?
In conclusion, it is time to take a stand. Since we are already editing the vocabulary of freestyle skiing, with the removal of the t-slur (abbreviation for “transition”), many people think that it is also time to recognize the hatred and exclusion that many aspects of skiing stand on, unbeknownst to the blissfully ignorant participants of the activity. It is time to seek justice. The justice that has been denied for so long.
Justice for babies, hippies, and Gypsies.
Excuse me - I meant infants, bums, and Romani people.
