AndrewGravesSVGoddamn this thread is gonna be so toxic
This is one meme page on instagram with like 2400 followers that has an opinion. I don't necessarily agree with it because the words have different history and are used in totally different contexts but if I was around someone who was triggered by it then I just wouldn't say it around em after I knew. I try to align myself with the whole woke movement but there are some people who really try and center themselves and their sensitivities while forcing binary arguments that don't go anywhere. I think its understandable because discussions can feel like an attack on your identity and validity as a person but it sucks for everyone to have it devolve into name calling no matter whose fault it is.
That being said, if someone is offended by a word you're saying and you make it this huge argument over principle and continue saying it around them to make a point, then you're an asshole. There's no need to continue fucking with someone's identity and making them feel unwelcome in the outdoor community. Chances are they've experienced way more hate throughout their lives so there's no need to pile on.
Skiing is sick and every person should feel welcome in it besides Rob Katz.

BiffbarfHomie you just wrote paragraphs bout a meme
LogiCool joke. One problem though: I am in your walls

SofaKingSickthat's not a very good argument, memes are loaded with political/ideological intent these days and you know it
saying something, then crying "i was just joking" the instant someone responds to it is cowardly. we've all had this play run on us in real life
i took the OP as a joke and responded in kind because i don't know or care what queercork is, but if you can post a meme or say something, someone can respond to its content and acting like they just brought it up out of the blue is silly
meth_manCan we make a new website
we can call it newnewschoolers

bertBertsonIsn't the shortened version pretty outdated as ski slang regardless? If I used that with the (mostly a couple years younger) crew instead of just saying 'transition' they would look at me like I pulled up to the club in flared jeans and told the first girl I saw that she looked 'groovy'.
BiffbarfIt wasn't even an argument. Dude just hopped right onto the high horse like he's somehow gonna save the day lmao
GrandThingsNah I feel like it's still pretty well used especially "tranny find" or "finding tranny". Also when jibbing the sides of things that aren't supposed to be hit as transition like the side of a box or a park bench (which is one of the like few things I can do, hence apprehension from letting this one get cancelled)

DongwaterI think is a very reasonable assessment. Guy wrote out a well worded reply to an interesting topic. Yall are as usual a bunch of absolute fuckheads
Piss_BoySolution: make a slur for non trannies to rebeliate

mrk127I be stomping trannies all day everyday 😤💪
AddiY’all sound like my grandparents. Tranny has been used as a slur for a long time and the idea that that slur means something else to you in no way changes what it means to people who are harassed and assaulted for being trans. If you want to be inclusive then it’s important to understand that if there are trans people around you that hear you saying tranny it’s probably associated with trauma. I get that a lot of y’all have never experienced the hate that is directed at trans people but if you are willing and knowingly going to transphobic around me I’m going to knock you the fuck out. That shit is wack.
