NikolaB73I sadly live in the east coast but I'm looking into getting a wider ski for some freeride and powder when I travel west. I'm looking into faction prodigy 3.0 (178cm) because I love my 1.0s which I use here in the east.
Do you think 106 is wide enough for places like BC or should I look into the 4.0
Surface area and tip shape are most important imo. Width underfoot doesn’t tell the entire story.
most trips you won’t get those super deep days, so it’s hard to justify getting something really wide (110+) for inbounds riding.
106 is pretty good, but you could probably even go 98 at a longer length with rocker and still have a good time, even in the park.
You can demo the Rossi s7 at blue hillside outfitters for $25/hr. I would go for the 180cm at your weight and size. The North chair has some fresh pockets of snow you can hike.
