SARS was a huge deal when it happened, I remember it pretty well, and yeah I know that there have been various Coronavirus outbreaks throughout the world. I just thought it was like a less related scientific term for the coronavirus and not a direct acronym 🤷‍♂️

Idk maybe our NS epidemiologist can comment on it. This is Sars 2. The biggest ones were Sars1, mers, and sars2. That's also partly why vaccines were so quick to the punchline cuz they already worked on vaccines for the previous ones and abandoned them once the threat abated.
