OK so explain to me the objective criteria for what you think is kooky or not. It's your opinion. That's literally it. But you creating negative media about your opinion based on subjectivity is doing the ski industry as a whole harm. You are steering kids away from buying from a skier owned and operated small business and chances are that kid will instead go buy his line/k2 that he was thinking about anyway. There's nothing wrong with that but Line/K2 doesn't need your money to pay rent. This whole thread and rhetoric just makes you come off as an elitest. You guys keep saying I only dislike the graphics but it goes beyond that, the vibes they give off, they way they talk, the fonts they use the whole vibe of the brand just has this incredible stink of mediocrity and normality. It actually blows my mind how many snowboarders love the soft edge. So many swear it's the best board they've ever ridden. Obviously as a skier I can't talk much towards it on the snowboard side. I've ridden them a handful of times and it definitely interacts differently than the skis. I didn't hate it on the original skis, just wasn't ideal for rails. Although literally invincible edges was a nice benefit.
We still do full wrap on our pow skis, and partial soft edge wrap on the all mountains. Very enjoyable imo in soft snow. Very surfy. Park skis are just on very tip and tail for butters.
Would love to have you try a pair again Kyle. We have some demo stops on the east coming up in Feb.
I agree 100% that occasionally some of our graphics/marketing/ads are not my cup of tea. But there's a fine balance of being "core" and actually running a successful business.
"Newschoolers market" is a small slice of the pie, and one of the hardest to break into. Park skiers have high standards, are critical, and a lot of the times broke. Definitely don't want to ignore park skiers. But also can't throw all the eggs into that basket. We've all seen what happens to brands that have tried that.....
This conversation has been had many times in the forums. Some people just won't ever understand it till they're older or matured.

TOAST.I think the hate comes from snowboarding. Don't know anyone that likes the soft edge technology and there old ads with people "buttering" noodle boards down the mountain were lame. The millions of random graphics make it hard to take them seriously sometimes, but if somebody wants GI joe skis who am I to stop them.
I tried a few runs on there original skis and hated them because the soft edge went the length of the skis. They have since changed that and look like any other ski for the most part.
This all being said they put more into skiing/snowboarding in my area than any other company by sponsoring rail jams and skiers which is pretty cool and offsets all the stuff I didn't like about them in the past.
I wouldn't mind testing a pair out again and possibly considering them in the future. Would rather ride them then fisher or head, that is for sure.

I'm actually 14 Gilson, so I'm not a child anymore. Nice try though, get some better graphics. Like vishnu, they have awesome cool edgy graphics, and urs are just kinda gay. Release the Osama Pros or stay broke and retarded.

Sold 51 in total, So over $1200 in proceeds. But Marion just jumped ship on us anyways. Hence the shirt no longer being for sale. She got an offer from another brand, sad to see her go. Especially after all we'd been working to do for her. One of the best female rail skiers out there!

If you ever have any ideas on ways we can give back to the community please send them my way! Always down to do what we can with our limited budget. We've done NS design contest, sponsored the awards show, sponsored dozens of rail jams around the East Coast, hosted our own rail jam in the summer, gave away 150 pairs of skis and boards through an afterschool ski program in PA, etc.
It's definitely tough to find new and creative ways to give back and support the community though! Especially with a small budget, so I'm all ears to new ideas!!
