Once again... even if you think that, small companies are NOT the enemy. Large companies that come into the industry and throw money around for a few years and don't give an actual shit are the enemy. It actively does harm to the industry to go out of your way to hate and put out bad press on small ski brands.

I think the hate comes from snowboarding. Don't know anyone that likes the soft edge technology and there old ads with people "buttering" noodle boards down the mountain were lame. The millions of random graphics make it hard to take them seriously sometimes, but if somebody wants GI joe skis who am I to stop them.
I tried a few runs on there original skis and hated them because the soft edge went the length of the skis. They have since changed that and look like any other ski for the most part.
This all being said they put more into skiing/snowboarding in my area than any other company by sponsoring rail jams and skiers which is pretty cool and offsets all the stuff I didn't like about them in the past.
I wouldn't mind testing a pair out again and possibly considering them in the future. Would rather ride them then fisher or head, that is for sure.
So I know nothing about Gilson except they make sick bords and like two pairs of skis all I know is they have cool graphics and was wondering if anyone has info on them to see if I would like them. It sounds like there is 50 50 felling for them so argue away.

I've never ridden their skis or even heard much from people who have so I can't speak for the product. However, Gilson as a company does a lot for skiing. The hook up a lot of more unknown riders, they are very active here on NS, and put on good events. So when people write them off on the basis of being 'a gaper brand' or 'not core' they are making claims out of pure ignorance. Would love to see Gilson continue to develop their product and become like the other small builders with love around here.
Yall actually out here defending Gilson. That's some clown shit. And no I don't wear virtika. Virtika gets the same grouping as Gilson, sell outs. I wear brands from small passionate creators that don't sell out. Vishnu, RMU, anytides, arsenic.
