Cutting Onions

Curious about how many people can handle cutting onions without crying or experiencing eye irritation. I've gotta wear ski goggles when doing anything with them, but most people I know can cut them just fine. I know onions are supposed to release a sulphur compound of some sort when they are cut open, which causes the irritation, but not sure why some people are susceptible, and some aren't.

learning how to properly dice an onion in HS is honestly the biggest takeaway I have from that. That and learning how to sew.

Cutting it with proper technique moreso keeps the cut side down on the board and out if your eye

Pretty much this. A good sharp knife is key too. Say what you want about knowing how to sew but I learned how in Boy Scouts and use the skill all the time as an adult to fix buttons in shirts etc. I even repaired my Hestra gloves myself.

I can't say I've ever cut onions and cried but whenever me or my buddies watch Avengers Endgame we text "who cuttin onions man" about 300 times hahaha

i used to get real stingy eyes but in recent years it hasn't been bothering me

i think it's probably the globalists modifying the onions the same way they made corn dissolvable so it doesnt show up in your shit anymore
