Im seeing a lot of negative shit on here lately, so I want to make a stoke thread. I just learned 2p2s two days ago, and I am super stoked on that. Whats up with everyone on here that is keeping you hyped?

Improvements! I hope all the people in the park saw this as motivation for them, people shouldn't be like jekeous of other dudes hitting sick shit, let it be motivation for ur own throw downs!

Haha my homie saw it, and it made him learn them the next day.
Dude I loved that set up Bear had. They should put rails all up and down black bear and Cascade like that for us to progress on, because I suck. I’m hoping in two weeks they can open back up. Im feeling a big storm to help them get their base going soon 🚀

Damn, I know I wanted to make a positive thread, but the weather here is not making it look like we will even have a season.

Dude it’s historically bad 😭 for anyone not in PA or Southern NY it’s been 55 and raining for the past 9 days. And it looks like we still have some more of this to go into January. Absolutely Insane man. If this isn’t global warming I don’t know what is.

I hear ya man. Let’s hope for a good end of season and good 2022 season. Electric Ford trucks will be starting at $20,000. Not bad all things considered. I think I’m going to switch to one of the RAV4 Hybrids eventually get some 45 MPG then after that hopefully full electric.
Snow is finally coming in at A-Basin and I am so stoked, been working so I haven’t been able to ski, but have some days off coming up and can’t wait to get after it

PA weather's been killing me... bought my first new park setup in like 4 years and haven't been able to use them. Was dying to hit Bear on Monday but couldn't take off from work
Up in Tahoe we've got a record breaking December at over 200" of snow, it's been totally insane. It's been pretty rough for the Tahoe residents though, all roads in and out were closed for a solid week, so I've been avoiding Tahoe because I'd rather not sit in endless traffic and be part of the problem. Also I've had to work this week... Except I'm working from home and was a lil ahead of schedule so I snuck in a day trip Tuesday at Dodge ridge (south of Tahoe) with 3 of my old friends and it was literally the most insane day I've ever skied.
59" in 72 hours, not to mention the 200" for December. It was DEEP. And there were not very many people. Lap after lap, fresh bottomless pow, I didn't have to look for it, it was everywhere. And it was that light fluffy stuff too. I'm still reeling from it. I'll be sure to send some for the starving folks back east.
Pic: granite bowl at dodge, completely untracked.
Had fun day yesterday. Lapped this jump we built for our ski team kids and lapped pow turns down to it all day long. Was fun. Threw down a heavy slash turn for the kids to get them fired up lol

That’s brutal! Last year was great. This years looking literally like a one month season. Probably a dying sport around here I heard due to rising mean winter temps in PA were likely moving to an official climate similar to that of a majority of Virginia. Guess we need to head north or west!
Over at Mt hood the weather has been super nice in terms of how much snow has been dumping. There’s been multiple storms back to back for like 2 weeks. So hyped to live here

Our winter here was just like that last year. Guess it’s y’all’s turn to have a great winter

Unreal storm cycle. Don't get days like that too often!
Made it home for the holidays and got to see friends and family for first time in 2 years. First day skiing this year there was 1' of blower pow, no lines, and I got to ski it with my old friends.

You always start somewhere homie. My best advice is find a group of people who are better than you and ride with them. At the start of last season, I couldn’t 360 or slide a rail, and I started riding with the local park rats and got good really fast.
Vail bought my local a few years ago and fucked with the terrain park by moving it from its OG spot to one of the most populated chairs. The resort is still fucked by vail for many reasons but this season they’ve moved the park back after endless complaints from locals for all this time. It’s just hype that the park is being restored to its original glory and we got what we wanted.

man this is supposed to be a fun positive thread, and here you stumble in bringing up vail
Earlier in the week I skied for the first time after breaking 3 vertebrae in my neck in March from a gnarly crash. Also my dad’s first time snowboarding after he had a stroke in July. Grateful for health and sharing that moment with my family !
