Dunno how much "better" they are but i have a pair and theyre great for me. Easy to put on and fit pretty well dunno if its tons better than a normal one tho

If you have a skinny calf/lower leg it’s sometimes harder to close them around your leg fully. Some people with skinny legs do better in the tongue liners because they don’t have extra space in between their legs and the liners.

I've been skiing first chair 10's for 6 seasons now and I was looking into getting some new first chairs and I tried on the new 120's with the tongue liner and it completely changes the feel of the boot. I didn't like how they felt just standing in them. I ended up getting the 2020's with a wrap liner. If you haven't ever tried on a boot with a wrap liner then maybe try one on. I think they're better than tongue liners but I AM NOT @FullTiltBoots .

Both have there reasons to exist and it’s for that reason I build a line where you have all liner options available in all shell types. That way you can pick both the shell and liner you prefer and then just match it up with the correct flex tongue for you personally.

I've skied both for whole seasons and have no preference

I think it’s mostly preference, although the wrap liners usually do well with some sort of heat mold.
I have fatter calves and it made it a bit difficult to get the cables strapped down.
Personally, I’d go to a store and try on both side by side.
