Anyone got any help for rails?

Very repetitive post on NS, however my problem is that I cannot stay on a rail… I have asked people at the local park and they are saying im hitting the rail on my heels, but I do not know how to fix that???

Msg me, if ur curious or wanna help me..

video says still encoding but if they say that you're hitting in on your heels then you are probably not jumping far enough over the rail to get on top of it properly. It's a commitment issue for a lot of newbies, you have to commit to getting fully over the rail

If you hit them on your heels, it sounds like you are going to far over the rail. What happens exactly? You hit it and then you’re on your heels and then you slide off on the opposite side than you started?

Can you just do a rail slide? Like find a rail that you can get on head on, pop and twist, and just look at the end.

once you get comfortable with these you can try front 2s and stuff

Look to the end. Maybe even point to the end with ur downhill arm (also helps keep ur weight forward)

Something that helped me when I was learning was trying to match how much I am weighted forward with the angle of the rail. This works well for down tubes. Don't know what rail your are trying but try to find a tube where you can go at is straight on. This helped me commit easier in my opinion

You need to be more natural with your approach. You’re thinking too much about going OVER AND ON the rail and it’s causing you to overshoot. It’s more of a casual lining up of hips next to the rail, popping and rotating legs. You want to be parallel to the rail, not approaching it at an angle
