At 9am??? How can all 4 lots be full... and the maintenance yard? Fuck this shit. Im for pay parking for non pass holders. All you tourists can go fuck yourselves. Locals couldnt even enjoy the resort today due to parking being over capacity.

Jokes on you, I turned back and found a quiet place away from the resort. Had a sick booter session instead. By-law enforcement showed up as I was driving down the mountain. Hope that 80$ fine was worth it

I may or may not have utilized my public parks in my area and just walked up to the resort base, which took me all of 10 mins, and skied all day, so there's a workaround always.

But I do agree, I get to the lots before 8am on workdays and even then they still fill up by 8:45

Resort is 10km up. No other parking is available other than the lots. The road up to Whitewater is 70% avalanche area. Its illegal to park anywhere else for that reason.

At Vail you just have to park behind the hospital and pray your car is there when you get back.

I feel that dude. its annoying. Its the same way with the cottonwood canyon resorts, and apparently some places aren't letting people park in the lots before 7am which is a total buzzkill on powder days

Yeah op quit bitching. It's a holiday weekend. Even though it's Monday, tons of people are probably on vacation. You chose to show up at 9am on a powder day (I assume with all the snow lately) to a resort on Christmas week? Lmao rookie move man. Only one to blame is yourself. Not exactly a new thing for wh2o, especially in the holidays, after the hill was closed the day before and we had 1.5M of snow fall over the week. What did you expect? Why go to the hill on the busiest day of the year and complain about it being busy? Shoulda gone to London Ridge or somewhere else by Retallack. Or just buy a sled like the rest of us and don't stress about ski hills over the holidays.

Shit tons of Canadians are moving to Nelson and you're surprised the lots are full? Move back to Vancouver and ski Whistler if its too crowded for you. Or Trail/Rossland.

Yup. No sympathy for anyone on these passes. The towns are deteriorating too any issues they had before corona got 10x worse. I hope the employees at these places strike and fuck these assholes over.

Alyeska will be the only trip outside New England for me most likely. I also want to fly to ABQ and do Taos and southern CO hills. I have only rode Jay/Cannon/Waterville this year. The only places I'll go aren't Epic the weekend I spend in Burlington I'll do Bolton the night I go up then Smuggs or MRG and I am planning to work from the hotel one week at the base of Burke and fit a day in at Saddleback. Its not like I am riding shitty hills or comprimising on terrain.

Once Canada stops dehumanizing me I will fly to Calgary and do the Canadian Rockies for 2 weeks. I really have no desire to fight the crowds at the big places I've been to all of them and love the apres but its just not worth it anymore with how crowded shit is.


Why do people want these passes so much every time I meet a chick that skis she starts to brag about having an Epic and I'm just like 'why?' lol.

You just need to leave way earlier and be willing to sit around before things open.
Plus, as others have said, this is holiday hellian time!
9:00am you are way late, and furthermore if it's a "powder" day, you are double late.

This is a relatively new phenomenon in the koots, as in the last 5 years.
DrailOr just buy a sled like the rest of us and don't stress about ski hills over the holidays.

I got a nice 12 minute stroll to the gondi at breck where i bump wu tang and get siked for my day. Or i could drive through gridlock traffic to park at the gondi in 20 minutes frustrated af. Ill take the former lol.
