PNW Road Trip

Regionals is dead so posting here. Gonna be making a road trip mid-late February. If anyone skis these places regularly or happen to be there these days hmu. I'll be skiing solo half of em and the other half I'll be with my brother who is kind of a pussy sometimes when it comes to more difficult stuff, heights, or hiking. Barring road closures or injuries, I'll be sticking to this itinerary.

15- Bachelor
16- Bachelor
17- Bachelor
18- Anthony lakes
20- Targhee
21- Big Sky or Targhee
22- Big Sky
23- Schweitzer
24- Snoqualmie/Alpental
25- Snoqualmie/Alpental
26- Crystal/Snoqualmie/Alpental
27- Crystal/Snoqualmie/Alpental
28- Crystal/Snoqualmie/Alpental

Side note, is Idaho still a bunch of nazis for weed? I've heard of people getting popped when crossing state lines. Was planning on buying all my weed up front but not trying to get some bogus felony charge for minor amounts of pot. Am I paranoid or is this real and not worth the risk?

Sounds like a fun trip.

As far as the weed, I wouldn't worry too much. Idaho is stern yes, definitely wouldn't smoke and drive and keep everything smell proof and hidden away. They shouldn't have any reason to search you! Just drove across the country in a sketchy-looking van and went through Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming; some pretty anti-weed states.

Dope spots. Targhee is so fun especially Sacajawea lift. The cliffs to skiers right aren’t too bad for your brother, have varying drops with different heights. Landing is perfect too.

I sometimes go to big sky so might be up there

Yeah I've been to targhee like 3yrs ago but never hit those cliff bands and definitely wasn't good enough at the time. I'll have to check out for sure. I was just lapping that lift all day as it was nuking and the upper mtn lifts were zero visibility. Targhee is very similar to Wolf Creek for crowds and leftovers so that's really why I like it.

Feel free to hmu when you know what day you’ll be hitting Schweitzer. I definitely would avoid traveling through Idaho with weed, but it’s not like they’re going to put you in jail - as long as it’s only a personal amount.

snowqualmie and alpental will eat you and your brother alive if you are not careful keep your head on a swivel for skunk apes too.

They had some local deal for Thursday if you bring a receipt from a local place you get a discount ticket. That's pretty cool tbh

That is the new deal.. you gotta spend 40 bucks at a place of business in the nearby counties. And then you get a 20 buck ticket

Idaho has a reputation for pulling over young guys with out of state plates so they can go fishing for offenses such as weed possession. I wouldn't risk it, know a few guys who have been searched in Idaho during a traffic stop.

you should visit mt spokane its got one of the best parks near schweitzer idk how its doing right now but usually they have the best park in the area but i would definately check if you go

mission and baker are worthwhile. mission has a nice tow rope, cliffs and bigger stuff goes if there is snow and a local willing to be followed. tickets are pretty cheap if you buy ahead. Baker is Baker . Have fun hopefully you catch a sweet storm
