On break from school and went up with some friends to Tahoe for my first few days of the year. About two hours into the first day, I blew up in the fingers and broke my L1-4 vertebrae and a couple of ribs, as well as bruising my lung. Ski patrol sledded me down, spent the night in the hospital, and now I can hardly walk. Pretty sure im gonna miss the rest of the season, and trying to decide if I was being too aggressive or just got unlucky; it was my first day of the year, but the snow was great and I felt plenty warmed up.
