This man was inspiring. Literally a Saint. He only drives between the hours of 2200-0330 for the sheer purpose of helping others. Doesn't care if people yak in his car or if they pass out, and he's never had any issues with aggressive passengers. Total champ. I got chills talking to him. I've taken a lot of Uber and Lyft rides and had a lot of good drivers but holy fuck this dood was wow. Holy cow wow. Just living to live and paying it forward like a mother fucking boss. He even called himself a bad Christian after I asked if he was a pastor or something 🤣. Shhhhhheeeeeeeeet. What a G.
Best uber drive in SLC is this dude named Shaka 100%. I get absolutely plastered at Mountain West cider and he picks me up in this super clean SUV. The room is spinning for me, and as soon as I get in, the air is pleasantly cool, and the car smells incredible. The floor has soft blue/pink underglow to it and he has every charger you could imagine coming from between the front seats. On top of all this he has a giant tablet with Blue planet playing alongside some of the chillest vibey music I have ever heard on the back of the passenger headrest. He's incredibly friendly and sees that I'm in a bit of a state and offers me a delicious flavored water which I drink on the ride back to my spot. I don't remember any of the conversation, but I remember what an amazing guy that dude was. I don't remember any other uber driver, but if I will remember Shaka for the rest of my life.

I've also had some terrible Uber drivers too. The ones in Columbus can't drive and almost gotten in a few accidents on the highway. The ones in Denver are literally psychotic so I always take Lyft after a solid 5 consecutive bad ones. And then there's salt lake where I had the infamous Tony Johns pick us up high as fuck then drop us off in the middle of the road after passing the house 🤦; Google this guy cuz he was a trip and ended up all over reddit a few years ago.
