Tripod and put your phone in at least 1080p so you can zoom in on the clip as you get closer to end of rail in editing. Opposite if you have your phone setup in the landing.
FaceTime ur mom and have her screen record ur tricks and then have her post it to Facebook. You will be a pro skier by Monday after her friends blow u up.
Put the camera in the corner of your room, make sure to keep it high enough (at least bed level). Depending on what positions you’re doing make sure you’re always facing the camera. And get a good microphone.
I used to think this was a good idea too, it’s not. Just ride, hot lap, get consistent and next time your boys are there you can stack clips. Solo filming really isn’t worth it unless it’s in the street.

Filming alone is a lot of fucking work. Make sure to have plenty space on the card and a spare battery.
I would set up the tripod, press record, walk up, do the trick and walk back to the cam to stop it. Then in the editing room, isolate the footage.
The other option is gopro the fuck out of the edit if your lazy.
If you have an apple watch you can control your phones camera to record and zoom so you don't have a ton of long videos to trim. Haven't tried it at the hill but I've done it for filming backyard clips using a shoe and a chair as my tripod.
