My roommate just got some keys and i’m wondering how flexible they are. Are there any skis comparable to them?? I might cop some in the future as well.
My 189s are actually stiffer then I thought they would be. They carve so fucking good. Butters feel really nice on them. Because of the camber and lower rocker they honestly ski feel stiffer while skiing then my 191 kartel 108s. Im 6'8 210 lbs so thats saying something.
Ok after riding them: They carve shockingly well, there’s no speed that felt even close to too much at my little Midwest hill, and they’re pretty much what I expected for stiffness. Like a 7/10. The only negative I have so far is that the bases are super slow but they’re perfect other than that

goatmasterIf you wax them will that fix that? Or is it a different issue?
Maybe I don’t know, I’m not an expert on bases and wax and stuff. To be fair I didn’t put my own wax on once I got them which is usually recommended, but I’ve done the same thing before and had better results. I’m probably not gonna wax them for the foreseeable future though because they’re park skis and I honestly don’t care that much
I wanted to ski the keys for a bit before I said anything about them. I really really like them. Out of the box, the weren't that stiff. Noses a tad softer than my prodigy 3.0s, tails pretty equal to the noses. Fist run they felt a bit on the stiffer but extremely light swing weight and carved shockingly well. Really comfortable in the air. Once I got used to them after a few runs they are very playful. Really easy to butter around. They still don't feel like a wet noodle but honestly I really like that. The super light swing weight makes them a lot of fun to jib around on. The light weight makes swaps and spinning on and off easy. I tend to destroy skis. The keys are holding up so far better than any ski I have ever owned by a long shot. Definitely my favorite park ski I have owned.
