MaimHelpBob nutting was a god compared to vail, y’all just wait

so last year with COVID im sure parks were effected. Any inside scoop on where big boulder or mt snows parks are going??
weastcoat
I’m at a loss for words. Today is a very sad day.
I hate bob nutting but at least our parks here had alright funding. So sad to see this happen, Springs’ parks are on an upward trend and are honestly in a golden age right now.
CatdickBojanglesOuch. Come on down to Wisp.
faber-castellbob chose to sell 7s over the pirates 😐
armchair_skierBoulder got completely gutted by Vail. Really hope springs doesn’t go the same way. Im sad, but at the same time not at all surprised by this.
RIP the beard rope tow, I learned basically every rail trick I know because of that thing.
weastcoatI can’t even fathom the amount of Springs riders that will pop down there next year. I’ve never been so appreciative to live the same distance from that place that I do to
springs.
vibe.crudoIf Carinthia goes then pretty much all of Southern New York, CT, Long Island, Rhode Island and Mass are going too. Not driving 8 hours round trip in one day to ski a park, that'll just be the end of it for a whole lot of people...
theabortionatorI get thos, but it also creates room for growth in the smaller resorts. Sure they won't have 5 or 6 parks, probably wont have a pipe. And probably wont have inferno jumps, but smaller mtns are starting to step up.
Social media and being aware of other mtns is helping this.
What parks always need, and now more than ever, is motivated people to step up and make their local a sick spot. Even a mtn without cat time can get a good rail park in.
A mtn with no rails? Get donations and build them or have somebody else build them. Rails aren't that expensive to build. Paint em up noce and boom mtn looks like the sickest spot even if it's tiny and has no funding.
I get it, it's fucking sad to see these park powerhoise mtns go VR. VR hates parks. But the industry can use people getting involved in the parks.
It's really not even as hard these days, you can just look at another mtn, be like "oh word a down rail should be set like this". Its not the gig for everybody but could use more motivated individuals.
Idk id just like to see some positive come out of this.
sqeellicbicThe pipe and infernos are coming back this season. Don't quote me on that but I'm like 95% sure I saw carinthia reply to someone on ig comments saying that.

skiermanThat's what you get for supporting Vail. Don't worry though, Vail is doing all this purchasing on debt with unrealistic goals because they're greedy fucking gapers. They ignore climate change and instead run a gondola to the base, which shuts down on windy days. LOL
This in combination with the corporate debt crisis in China which will send the globe's economy into a small recession, Vail will have no choice but to start selling off resorts eventually dying a painful, slow death. This is what happens when you don't support locally owned shit, you dumb fucking children.
tri_photo7 Springs is Tom Wallisch's home mtn, right? Maybe he can be the Luke Skywalker we need to fight this Galactic Empire.

RyanWhitdogWas Boulder that much worse last year since Vail took over? Genuinely curious because I heard they still had great set ups
theabortionatorThe worst thing with vail in parks is the lack of events. Sure they nerf any xl parks and make the program smaller in general usually, but the lack of events is shitty. Any fun park events that gkve the mtn character get axed.
They might have the usasa slopestyle rail jam but no real events.
Hopefully they keep the parks going like they have with some of the larger park mtns
