hi_vis360I'm working on my edit chill
hi_vis360I AINT DROPPING MY CLIPS BRO hahaha
Honestly I care a lot more about my skis working well than looking good, those on3ps have a rec mounting point of -7cm so center mounting them would make them ski like shit. But if that's the type of stuff you do to look cool I admire your dedication!
weastcoatFuck yes
Jemsyeah i mounted my jeffreys (for the powder) center to look cool and it didn’t work out too well.
eheathyou guys care way too fucking much about what you look like
MoneyMakerMike
Clearly you don’t

DesertStixFixed it for ya
eheathyou must have weak knees if you think that hurts ha

DesertStixMy knees are shredded so yes. Have any cartilage you can spare?
eheathonly lost a little in one years ago, but i haven't gotten my knees checked in awhile but I assume i got some extra for ya
eheathyou realize thats my icon right? and i look way fucking cooler than your dumbass
Jemsshow me a video instead, all i’m sayin is if you want to look good you DONT mount anywhere but center.
MoneyMakerMike
Clearly you don’t
dwt802As Andy Parry once said, Yoke is dope.
actually though eheath’s kit is objectively not bad in that photo
MoneyMakerMikeYa kit is good but he’s fat

Jemsyeah i mounted my jeffreys (for the powder) center to look cool and it didn’t work out too well. But who the fuck willingly mounts some on3p magnuses -2 cm??? Park skis look so damn lame if they’re any more than like a cm.
gravelthis is totally not stupid as shit
dwt802Ah of course it was another eheath fat joke…

bakemasterThe only way
dans12Where should I mount my Mango 100s ;^)?
sensorialquartetwe mounted ours 0.5 cm back from dead center to help with the effective edge. Perfect for carving, centered enough for park skiing.
JulienFedouto be fair, Vishnu's come with a piece of paper that says "remind your local shop to measure for true center when mounting"
Skiblade420Symetrical -1
non -1.5
hi_vis360yeah sure if that's what you like, for me the main appeal of a getting a sym ski is the swing weight so I'm still going true center. Also don't just mount any non sym ski at 1.5 some skis are more directional than others
casualMounting a ski -1-2cms from true isn’t going to produce a noticeable change in swing weight.

AaronO.Did you mount your wides -1?

hi_vis360I don't think it will produce a noticeable change in carving ability either, it's only 1 cm, and telling the shop dead center is easy
Skiblade420I’m going to tonight, I don’t like skiing upright, so I think I’ll be able to drive the just a touch harder / slightest bit better in pow. ( since I don’t have a pow ski )

AaronO.Damn I’m kinda thinking about it too but low key feel like it’s sacrilege
DesertStixI swap skis with my friends who have wets true center and they don’t even know it’s -1 back and haven’t said anything. You seriously can’t tell the difference…
casualDepending on geometry and side cut of the ski, the effect on edge contact, turn initiation, etc. will be affected a lot more than swing weight. It’s not a 1 to 1 impact.
The weight distribution in front and behind the boot sole center will change by like 0.5%, something like milligrams or whatever. The effect on ski performance will be much greater given each cm you move it. Think about it, you could move the mount 10cm and the weight behind the binding vs in front with be like a 5-7% difference and we are talking grams here. The same 10cm change would make the ski operate totally different.
I get liking to ride true center, I’ve mounted every symmetrical ski I’ve owned there, so I’m not hating. Just making the point that the shift in swing weight will not compare to the change in ski feel.
