Replying to Will my boots be a little too big?

Recently bought a pair of ft dropkicks and when they measured my feet it said 27.5 but when I tried that size it was literally painful to wear so I bought 28.5 and they felt way better. However, when trying them on the slopes for the first time today i was wondering if they weren’t a tiny bit to big. My feet isn’t moving crazy in them but my heel lifts a little bit. Is it something that will be easy to fix with thicker sox etc? Besides that they were a comfortable.
p.s. my previous boots were also 28.5 (i wear 10.5/11 in shies)
