Reckoner 102 with shift binding???

Hey guys,

i am thinking about buying a reckoner 102 and put first a griffon on it that I have left over and if i like the ski I might put a shift on it to have a ski for fun days in the resort and a touring ski in one.
What do you think about the reckoner as a touring ski.
I currently use my pinnacle 95 ti in 184 with a baron as touring ski as well and manage to do up to 1400m uphill with this heavy set up so I would say im quite fit and I hope the new setup will be around 500g lighter per ski with touring binding and boots.

How are your experiences with the shift bindings in the resort?
I would describe my skiing so far as "fun skiinstructor" if that makes sense to you..?
I spend the majority of my time on the slope on carving skis and in the last 3 years I spend more and more time off-piste and having fun on the slopes with side hits and easy 180 and shifties, so that's where I hope to have fun with the reckoner, should be a match right? ;)

My current touring/all mountain set up is the Reckoner 112 and a shift.

It was my main setup last season. Its a decent ski and can handle most things. Id prefer it to be heavier in the resort but the offset to the lighter weight means its not too much to walk uphill.

Never had any issues with the shifts at all and used basically every sole type you could find in them and never had an issue.

Rad setup! Changing boots on the shift is kind of a pain in the ass and if you mess it up you will pre release. If you have a hybrid touring / alpine boot then sounds like a go to me! And even if you plan on switching it’s fine just know you gotta be really precise

know some people that use the reck 112 and a few that use the 102 as well. they are quite light so will be nice for touring. if you have the money look into cast or the new marker baron. the shifts are nice but i know some people have trust issues with them

I went for the unlimited 104 with a shift and have to say the enforcer unlimited104 is amazing. I was so suprised how stable the skis feel on groomers as long as its not ice only!! And they feel pretty light when doing short turns around trees. shiftys feel great as well, I mounted the shift +1 recommended and im really happy with that setup! :)

How have you liked that? I have some reckoners 112 that might be sold but if I can turn it touring just going to do that

In the end i went with a nordica enforcer unlimited 104 with a shift and love that setup.

For touring I would just look at the weights.. but with 112 under foot you can for sure go for off piste..

what made you switch you minds on the Reckoner? Im in a similar Situation as you.
