Skiyard, a vendor on amazon, is a piece of fucking shit.
I found a deal yesterday on amazon for some 2019 volkl revolt 87s for 299$. It was a good deal so i ordered them. But today i got an email from amazon saying the order was cancelled and the page was deleted. No reason given.
i looked though this assholes ratings/feedback and a few ppl said that they bought an item from skiyard and he cancelled it then relisted the item for 200$ more.
its pretty obvious this guy needs to eat shit and kill himself, so im hoping one of you knows him and could give him some encoragement or something.
You need to stop the negativity. Why don’t you put your effort and time into something better than ranting about some ski shop that canceled your order, also maybe it’s a sign to buy some real skis

Lol supply chain bs. They did the same thing to me a while ago, fucked me over on several pairs and im still pretty pissed about it. 19 revolts are not in a shipping container waiting for a truck, they were sold months ago or don't even exist. They want to play big boy etailer listing shit all over the internet they don't even have. Fuck them.

i see so many people selling shit that should cost 150$ for 700$ and it makes me angry because they are using these stalinist tactics to prey upon old people or people who dont know any better what the fair price for a product is.

I just dont get how an amazon vendor in 2021 could be so dinosaurically incompetent that they list items for sale they dont even have.
they have pretty poor ratings iirc about the customer feedback and i read multiple reviews saying ski yard cancelled customers orders then relisted the item for hundreds of dollars more expensive. This it what i assumed they had done go me which is why i went full dolan on them.
Shops do. But apparently some don’t do a good job of keeping their inventory updated on Amazon. I have quite literally seen a pair of skis I want on Amazon to have the same problem as Dolan. They weren’t actually in stock and had no way of getting them…

I used to own a pair. They were stiff and cambered as hell. Not really my style of ski and the top sheet got SHREDDED easily but not the worst pair I’ve ever been on…
Lmfao one of my old coaches runs their website. Idk if she had anything to do with order fulfillment or finances. But that shop all tho not my personal favorite in the area is ran by some great people. So Dolan before you go all fuckin nuts and call them and try and work something out. The owner is a great guy and so are the people who work there are also.

but the person Ik who ran their personal website doesn’t work their anymore I believe. but the people who Ik do work their are quite nice, helpful people and it’s disappointing to me that happened

I work at a shop and I can’t tell you how many times a year I see people come in with skis that we sell, that they didn’t get any sort of discount for (as in, they ordered a pair of skis from Evo or Backcountry or some other site, and paid retail when they could’ve paid retail at the shop and gotten a free mount out of it). It’s whatever but if people expect the industry to survive, they have to stimulate it to some degree.

either way i dont mean to trash whoever is just trying to make a buck selling skis; it was more of a perfect storm.
i was already kind of pissed that my order got shafted, but when i saw other ppls amazon reviews of skiyard that said skiyard cancelled their order then relisted it for hundreds of $$ more, i couldnt help but go full dolan on them.
its nothing personal, i just thought i was getting shafted on purpose by some asshole vendor.

I mean I ski the same speed per my phones stupid app on super detuned vishnus so I think that detail is pretty minute. And I ski way faster on rear mounted titanal moment commanders than I ever did on those revolts

We used to get bitched at when I worked at a shop because we had to manually update the inventory online so occasionally we’d sell something we didn’t have and have to cancel the order. But we never put the item back up for $200 more.
Sidenote: I think The Peak Ski and Sports accidentally sold me Attack 13s for $100 in 2020. Props to them for following through with their mistake and honoring the price.

Nah I was being very serious, and I’m literally in the same situation lol. I get it if people bring in Vishnu because they’re only direct but I get so many people coming in with factions from evo even though the shop I work at stocks most of their line. It’s baffling. Some dude came in yesterday with brand new factions and was all stoked and thankful he got to try them at our demo day last year but decided to buy them from some online retailer....

Dude at 66 you should know when you're getting dicked around. They weren't hacked, it's just more bs, like the supply chain lies they fed you. It's not even suspicious that a shop with an @verizon.net email address would just set up a free one via Gmail for their skiyard brand.

Then why don't they shut these fraudulent accounts down on Amazon and eBay? Because they arn't fake. Why does Alex still work there? Because they know what they're doing they just dgaf. They fucked me over on 3 pairs of skis, I called plenty of people at the stores, this isn't some rogue employee selling skis behind their backs.
