Replying to painting skis

i know there have been threads on this....but as we all know, the search doesn't work

soo, i'm getting the new 12's, and i want to just paint black or something where the pic or the 'line' isn't. so i am interested in knowing the best way to do this, WELL. i dont want it coming off easily or chipping to shit. i want it to looke nice and clean. any suggestions?
