Christian_BaleI mean its basically a stupid meme word now but imo a brand is core if it's run by people who do the same activity (ex. Skiing) as the people who buy their stuff. And the brand is directly involved in that community.
It's silly as hell that mfs think literally any equipment in this industry is designed by people who don't ski and/or are completely out of touch with the modern ski industry.
Skiing gear (and action sports
equipment in general) isn't some wildly lucrative industry that people go into with the goal of getting rich asf. It's not investment banking or pharma or consulting or social media or automobiles or video games. People go into the industry because it's a job they actually give a shit about, and they want their occupation to be giving back to something they're actually interested in, instead of doing the same work for an industry that they really don't gaf about.
It's one thing to appeal to tourist/rich skiers, and to not appeal to the park/freeskiing "cult", but literally no brand does what you said.
