Do skis soften up?

Got Vishnu Wet+ and they feel kinda stiff any chance they’ll soften up? Didn’t see any threads avout skis softening up or nah.

Skis do break in to some extent. What skis are you used to?

Yes the skis might feel stiff hand flexing but once get them on the snow they feel a lot softer because of the rocker.

Used to some pretty stiff skis, they feel softer than all ones i’ve had tho I expected a tad more give, just tried them on grass tho lol

In my experience skis do soften up just a bit after like the initial break in period once you've had about 20 days on em I wouldn't expect them to get any softer though

Skis definably break in a bit, I've never owned V's tho so can't speak to your skis exactly

Once you get them out on the snow and spend some time with them they'll break in.
The first hour or so with my On3Ps when they were brand new was awkward. They felt so stiff. I took several runs with down some steeper slopes and carved hard and I could feel them coming to life. It took me a few ski days to get used to them as they were quite different than the previous skis I had.

if we’re talking out of ten, did your ON3P go let’s say a 7 to a 6 in terms of softness? I know this is pretty precise for a question tho.

Don't have experience on on3ps yet unfortunately but I'd say thats about accurate with any given ski so let's say the Vs are like 6 they probably settle at about a 5 the skis I ride currently are fairly stiff I'd say they went from an 8 to 7 but they deffinetly aren't getting much softer then that.

Maybe? Its a tough thing to put a number to. How one senses stiffness is different than how another person does because everyone feels things differently.
Certainly, they were noticably softer after settling in that 1st day of skiing . After 1.5 seasons they're still stiff and poppy but then I'm a light weight so I haven't worn them out much yet.

I bought line blends in 2016 and they started as noodles. After 4 seasons of 20 days a year on them, they feel like spaghetti left in the pot for an hour. I'm lowkey scared they'll snap when hitting a noseblock. Idk if this answers your question that well but they do seem to soften up everntually.

good to know:) spaghettis lmao, but yeah sure that helps, anyway i can’t do much about it if they don’t soften up🤷‍♂️

they will soften up nicely. prefer skis being a bittle stiff at first. feel like i'm breaking my skis in to my use. my poachers were completely different from my friends poachers because we ski very different.
