I can appreciate the aesthetic of this video but as a skier, I find it extremely annoying and corny.

I can’t remember. I think cardiac arrest or something.

Im saying Lewis is on his own planet and does his own thing and he can afford to because he’s the best. He doesn’t give a fuck. He gets in a wreck and retires his car then flys overnight to the met gala and wears a crazy outfit. Gus isn’t at that level.

That felt like it was filmed and edited by somebody who knows nothing about skiing. They cut to the least interesting part for the few trick shots and made him look like a jerry skiing groomers.

I got the vibe from the video that was the type of skiing they wanted to portray to their audience tbh. Seems kooky but possible.

Gus doesn't own shit to skiing. Skiing, especially NS, is in great debt towards Gus. Fuck the haters.

This right here. I pointed this ad out because I thought it was interesting. I did make the comparison to Hamilton, which was me getting carried away and a bit of an unfair comparison because A) skiing can be a bit nuanced with scoring compared to auto racing and B) Gus used to fucking STOMP.

I agree, it’s the same argument you get with kneeling in sports, like these athletes don’t owe you anything and they provide value and content to your sport. If you don’t like them don’t watch them. There’s no reason for the hate. Which is why for me the first thing I said was congrats to Julia and Gus for getting their bag, and the only thing I criticized was the price gouging from Prada, but hey that’s capitalism for you, if you can get it to sell right🤷🏾‍♂️.

Very true, I’ve seen it for years and countless times. But it always baffles me more than usual when I actually know how much it takes to make the product. Like I don’t really know why some rare wool sweater is $3000 dollars but I don’t know enough about wool and clothing construction for it to really hit home. But seeing balenciaga make soccer cleats for $700+ dollars that are Walmart quality and see them sell out or seeing prodigy’s sell for almost 10x the price just for a different topsheet and base design makes it hit harder because I know the market value of what that product is supposed to be.

Totally agree, my guts feeling is this is some underlying homophobia from some NS members, this whole thread is pretty cringe

I think its more so jealousy, gus has been getting hate on NS before anyone had any idea he was gay.
