Graham0596Just wondering what the support scale looks like. I know brand to brand will vary and hierarchy on the roster, but I assume the big names are getting a salary in addition to gear and trips. Anyone have a better idea of what that looks like? Obviously number of sponsors and what type factor but for the sake of simplicity mainly asking about ski manufacturers. Is Armada tossing HH and Sammy 100k? Just curious.

SchoessThe 15 year old's here have no idea about the private contracts signed by the industries leading professionals behind closed doors, regardless of what they will tell you. Inb4 a shitstorm of misinformation and wildly inaccurate guesses.

Graham0596Definitely not looking for specifics or counting anyone’s money, just curious if anyone had ideas. It’s pretty clear it’s a large spectrum and respect for anyone making it work doing what they love
eheathFor sure, its understandable to be curious about it. Some companies pay pros 4 figures, some get 5 figures if they're a big company/big skier but I don't think there are many brands out there forking out 6 figures without multiple year contracts, incentives etc. Every brand is different, every athlete's contract is different, different agents too etc tons of variables.
For the most part, most skiers don't make a ton of money and unless they got an energy drink sponsor, its safe to say they're probably on the lower end of salaries.
Graham0596Sorta the answer I expected lol dunno why I bothered with the thread. Was thinking maybe guys like HH were making decent money cause of his years of pro models across multiple brands. Thanks ma guy

eheathPro models in skiing aren't exactly like pro models in say skating, tons of people get "pro models" and the only people I have known with pro models receive a small royalty.
Also, european "pro skiers" tend to make more money as well, like jon was raking in millions when he was a big skier, guys like tanner/dumont didn't pull half the money he did in the same window of time, etc.
BigPurpleSkiSuitI wonder why that is? Is Europe just a bigger market maybe?
eheathAnyone who actually knows the real numbers has no right to say those figures and they wouldn't post it online anyway.
If an athlete wanted to tell the world how much they make, they can come here and post.
HypeBeastWhy not? They got a nondisclosure agreement or something? Why don't people have a right to say what they make?

Big_betaNow that all these ski brands are behind bought out by corporate shouldn’t there be more money for the sport/skiers?
