If you had J skis with White pivots stolen in Denver/Front Range area
I’m pretty sure these are hot. Throwing it out there if anyone got their skis stolen. Lotta J’s in Denver for sale. Doesn’t add up regarding price, lack of description, etc.
pokermanAlso J is in a unique position where they can create a "register your skis" system to be able to trace who a ski belongs to.
Would be cool if they did
Definitely considered it before. Since they're all shipped from a 3rd party fulfillment center nowhere near our office it wouldn't be possible to pre-register them as they leave the door but could easily create a form for people to register once they receive

Someone should look into buying them, meet up with the guy with like 5 homies and take them by force if definitely stolen. This is all mad fucked up

If a beatdown isnt what op feels like he could stage a meetup, claim, their his skis, and that the serial #will prove, and then threaten knowing the guys address or calling cops, mind you thats pretty ballsy and prob not worth the risk
That’s a lotta work for skis that aren’t mine. Don’t I get enough good karma for posting and putting the word out?? Lol

Totally!
All your skis have a unique number on them no? If so then whoever buys them can just click a link to open database and write their name under the ski number based on the topsheet.
I'm sure its been reported, but has this been reported?
Nothing i really hate worse than thieves and the worst kind of thieves are those that steal something that brings people joy.
Steal some food from Walmart or something, but to steal somebody's passion, somebody's joy for a quick buck? I wish some pretty awful shit on these people.
I remember mt snow had some really bad theft action for a while. I brought a couple of the local park kids for pay your age day. One of the kids setups got stolen. Nothing like seeing a kid in tears because somebody stole his board and he can't ride anymore.
Fuck thinking about thieves makes me want to stab a mfer.
Mad vibes to anyone who gets their shit jacked, and if you are a scumbag motherfucker stealing peoples skis and boards you should reevaluate your life now or die a fucking terrible death.
I have found the person. I believe it’s a Heidi Livran in Denver. Her FB is old and I found her LinkedIn (I don’t have premium though so I couldn’t write her). I found her on insta and tried her there. Want to give her a chance to get a lead on them while it’s still up. Also, wrote an admin on a FB backcountry CO group asking how to approach it. Hopefully someone writes me back

That just gives me a sick feeling. Some buddies of mine had their skis stolen off their back porch and the idiot had the audacity to cover them in stickers and come back and ski them at the same mountain. Luckily he was caught and picked up by the cops.
Damn, this shit is fucked up. I hate thieves. I’ve been debating on whether or not to get a lock for my skis. Big tip is to never leave em unattended at base areas, but I get that a lot of small hills only have lodges at the bases which sucks. This thief should rot in hell.

So one day at my little hill. Some bros. Grabbed 10 snowboards and threw them into a truck and drove off. They then got stuck and waved down a cop to help them out and he saw 10 decks and 2 guys. Thankfully everyone got their gear back.

I have told this story here a few times but when I was on the CU Freeride program we got these sweet Oakley puffer team jackets that had CUFST embroidered on them. A few weeks after getting them my buddy had his stolen at a party. Literally 3 days later we had our normal team meeting at the rec center and we all had our jackets on. Sure enough this dumb fuck comes walking by the entire team wearing the jacket on and kind of sheepishly looks over as we all glare at him. He tried to power walk away but we cornered him in a hallway and told him he could give up the jacket or have it forcibly removed from him. He actually tied to make up that he bought it online but gave it up rather than get his ass kicked. The shithead even crossed out my buddy's contact info and wrote his own name, address and phone number in the jacket. I cant remember if my buddy fucked with his house but I know he went out of his way to sign the dude's email up to every sketchy site he could find.

Be super easy to set up a website where people could register and post a photo of their skis with the signature number. Also easy for people to flag them as stolen too.
Why are you covering up the name, dox this asshole. I know we’re not supposed to do that to members but this guys a piece of shit and he deserves whatever’s coming to him.
It’s pretty easy to find on Denver marketplace. I have written who I believe may own the skis on insta. There’s a chance it may be that they aren’t stolen but the whole ski emoji title, low price and lack of description is kinda my give away for hot gear

Dads roommate was a douche in college, he’d go skiing every weekend and come back with 3-4 skis. Was in like the 90s too

Can confirm that is the guy for whoever downvoted my response. I, also, have written all the admins in a CO backcountry fb group asking for how to go about this. None have written me back. I’m tried every Avenue with no success. Can’t say I didn’t try. I even tried her LinkedIn but I can’t contact her without paying for premium.

I don’t think he skis tbh. If he does, good for him, but I ain’t buyin it. If you’re in Colorado, just don’t take your skis off and walk away at base areas unless the resort is tiny and remote. It’s usually not a good choice to make. So much theft takes place on the I70 resorts that some ski areas have ski police. Hate seeing situations like this.
I just posted in the CO backcountry page (pending approval - even though I wrote all the admins independently before). I’m honestly getting irritated at how hard it is to communicate to someone that I may know where their stolen skis are.

I have LinkedIn Premium (self own, I know) so could shoot the person a message if you like? Shoot me their details.

Facebook is tough honestly. There either the people that use it religiously or not at all or those who just spam their feed with profile pic updates. Hopefully this gets sorted out though.

Have none of you reached out to the police? That should be the first step if you aren't planning on meeting this guy and bringing homies and guns; idc how many people you bring, if the dude pulls a piece y'all are gonna scatter like roaches.

Kinda shocked ski manufacturers don't all have buyers fill out a warranty registration form with all this info. Tons of other places do it for electronics.
Her name is Heidi Livran and she’s in Denver area. Should show she’s at DU now and used to ski for vail club. Thanks for offering!

Paul.I just messaged her on instagram
I can’t prove their stolen until I get her say so

I used to have one of these I would use all the time. Its worth the $15 for sure. If you left your bike somewhere you would for sure lock it. Why not your skis?

This would be pretty easy tbh
Showing up to the dudes house is a terrible idea. You either:
1. Get a gun or knife pulled on you and someone gets killed or hurt.
2. You all show up with plate armor and guns and hit him SWAT style and everyone goes to prison.
Neither of which are worth getting some person's skis back IMO
