Anyone tried both? Do you have a preference?
I like the idea of the two separate straps the patriots have to offer. Would they work with a traditional boot or only on 3 piece designs?

QuaggyI've got a pair of their 2.0 straps
Greatest addition to skiing since buying Full Tilts. They allow you to really "lock yourself" into your boots while maintaining the flex and comfort.
10/10 wish I knew about them a long time ago. Very noticeable results

Skiblade420Ah ok sweet, Flex stays the same?
that’s the thing I don’t like about my boosters, they kinda stiffen my boot.
would the patriots work with a traditional boot cuff shell?
QuaggyFlex stays the same, but moves it closer to your center of gravity if that makes sense... They semingly decreasing the distance needing to lean forward to encounter flex of the boot making the flex feel more natural. Hard to articulate other than makes things less sloppy.
The video linked above shows tightening of the straps on both the wrap and traditional boot liners as well as instillation at ~1:30.
tominiemenmaaThere is the Atomic dual strap on the market as well https://shop.atomic.com/en-fi/products/professional-dual-strap-redster-s-m-ae0001711.html
Very interested to try any of the two but Atomic has been out of stock for a while and Patriot charges 30usd of shipping for a 50usd product...
edit: I've had Booster straps on my Dropkicks for years and I love them

Quaggylooks to be free is you're in the States! They've got a "home base" in both Australia and the States.
And OP I have not tried Booster straps, there were too many "levels" of Booster straps for me to make up my mind so I just went with the Patriots. :)
tominiemenmaaYes, but Finland is in neither...
KCoCMso get a homie to buy one too and then bang free international shipping
tominiemenmaa+customs +VAT = bang 2000usd straps
KCoCMohh boy that sounds a little too pricey. Sorry for the ignorance but customs and vat are charges on top of shipping that are finland specific?
CatdickBojangles
powpatrolthe patriot goes against the liner, then tongue then booster right?
CatdickBojanglesYeah

tominiemenmaa@bigwhite.steeze posted on another thread telling he used OEM boot strap on top of the liner and Booster strap on top of the boot. Any thoughts to spare on that? Might give it a try!
bigwhite.steezeyeah dude it works really well
BurritoI started using Voile XL straps on my touring boots a couple of years ago. Work just as well as Boosters at about a third of the cost.
KCoCMyo what is this loop for??
KCoCMahhhh i think i figured it out
.nastyThis is just silly and you're fooling yourself into thinking you did yourself a favor. Booster straps are not simply for tightening your boots or making them stiffer. The whole point of a booster strap is to provide certain rebound and elastic properties that allow for a more communicative relationship within the amount of power transfer of the flex of your boots.
The tru straps are also completely different than a booster for the same reason, tru straps are strictly for giving you a tighter feel as they are static.
One thing I also notice quite frequently is skiers buying the world cup booster strap simply because they believe that the stiffest one is going to get them the best performance. Even myself at 175lbs, I would only ever run the expert level booster strap as it has 3 elastic bands (providing those rebound properties as mentioned above) where as the world cup has 2 of the 3 bands sewn together, ultimately providing a more static feel unless you're 200+ lbs.
